I’m a fan alright, but I don’t know if I’ll be a frequent diner. The soups are delicious and the quality is there, but at $ 10 – 12.00 – that’s quite expensive! We tried the Italian Minestrone and the Hokkaido Crab Bisque – both outstanding! The minestrone was filled with lots of different kinds of veggies, more of a ratatouille than minestrone in my opinion! The bisque was a clear winner – it was so full of flavor that it was slightly salty but delicious nonetheless. Each soup comes with an option of rice or bread. If a bowl of soup doesn’t seem hearty enough, there’s always curry! We tried the French Shrimp Curry, which was tomato based. I prefer the traditional brown, apple Japanese curry taste so meh for me. I’ll save this place when I want to indulge, but for now, I’m quite happy with the soups at Tanjong Pagar Makret.
