Uh oh, way below expectations. A bowl of Special Sauce Chicken Hor Fun costs $ 7.80 — comes with a small bowl of soup. Nothing special about the sauce — felt it was just some starch thickened chicken broth which doesn’t taste much. Very little chicken was given. The best part about the meal is the crushed ginger paste. Generously mixed with lots of spring onions. Head upstairs to Kopitiam — you’ll get almost the same quality with half the cost.

3.5 stars Was introduced to this place by my ex-tutor. Came here on a Tuesday afternoon — was one of the first customers to be seated and served. Before coming here, I did my research on what to get. I decided to get the kampong chicken hor fun with special sauce, calamansi for my beverage and crispy deep fried dumpling. For the kampong chicken hor fun, the chicken was tender and flavorful. The sauce wasn’t special in terms of the taste. Couldn’t really taste anything unless my tastebud went haywire. Was expecting the sauce to be «special» as indicated. For the hor fun(white colored noodles) it was very soft and was easy to chew(great for older adults). The calamansi was nothing special. Decided to have a sour sweet drink to add flavor to my meal. For the crispy fried dumpling, it was yummy especially the sweet and spicy sauce that comes with it. Thinking of that made me drool while reviewing this. After you get seated, you have to go to the main counter to order and make payment for your food. And food came within 5 minutes upon order(efficient level — high). Overall, will be back here again in the near future.
