You’ve probably been to another Sushi Express location, so you know what to expect when you’re here; each plate is $ 1.50++. The offerings are decently diverse and fresh. They offer staples: salmon nigiri, salmon sashimi, scallop nigiri, unagi nigiri, seaweed salad, maki with cooked meat, and more. The staff do a good job of refreshing the belt with more items so you won’t get hungry. Sit and watch them long enough and you’ll see that they stagger their offerings. About half way through our meal, they brought out new dishes to add to the variety. My thoughts on specific items: Salmon nigiri and salmon sashimi are always solid places to start. it’s popular enough that you can rest assured that these items haven’t been on the conveyor belt too long. Since you can pick your own, go for ones with good marbling(lines of fat). The scallop nigiri is quite tasty. Just watch out if there’s too much sauce. You want to taste the scallops, not cheap sauce. *** Avoid the desserts! All of the dessert items are prepared in advance and stored in refrigerators or freezers that are too cold. All of the cake-style desserts were hard. Avoid the lunch peak. Workers from around the area flood the mall during their lunch breaks and a queue will form around 12 noon.
