Not a bad spot when you want an ice cold beer. Happy hour is pretty reasonable and is a good place to start off the night. A great selection of beers, TVs for the sports and pool tables to challenge your mates to a game. Not the friendliest staff, but not unfriendly either, so all good. A good choice to start the night when in Somerset on Orchard Road.

In a hot country, the name says it all. Ice Cold Beer! Travel the world of Beer from a nice cool dimly lit spot in Singapore. Foot Long Hot Dogs are great!

Going to be always my fav spot for beer and food. Still make a point to meet my friends whenever I come back for vacation. My husband and I always stop by here as this is where we met each other. Awesome selection of beers and great tasty chicken wings. Yum…

ll three bars in this short strip belong to one group of restaurants. Each one has its specialty — Ice Cold Beer with beers, Que Pasa with wines and No5 with cocktails —- but they all have one kitchen. Their alcohol is fairly priced — lower than other places during Happy Hour. But my friends and I keep on coming back here because of their chicken wings and pizza. One of the best chicken wings here in Singapore — lightly battered, juicy, tender and very crispy. For the pizza, the best is the Four Cheese pizza and the No5 pizza — with a very thin and crispy crust. These are not in all the menus of the 3 bars but you can order them. BTW, if you want a more quiet place, go to Que Pasa — Ice Cold Beer and No5 play loud music and the crowd can be loud.

This 5 star rating is purely for their chicken wings. Seriously good. Dare I say, the best I’ve ever had? I’m not usually a pub kind of girl, so the ambiance didn’t do much for me. However, if I had to choose a pub, it would be a place like this — rustic, original, relaxing. Verdict on the food: Chicken wings(absolutely brilliant), hot dog(one of the better hot dogs I’ve had in a long time), beef sliders(so so — wouldn’t order again), the fries that came with the sliders(the mushy type(think KFC) and no crunch factor), the onion rings(crunchy and tasty but a little too greasy). Overall, a great place and well worth visiting, if only for their fried chicken wings! In case you didn’t notice, yes — I went there to eat! Not drink! :)

Stopped in looking for a full bodied beer. I’m spoiled by outstanding microbreweries in CA. No luck finding any IPA. Only 4 beers on tap and pretty light. Had the fish and chips. Not very impressive. Atmosphere is solid for a beer joint. Big selection of lighter beers in a bottle if that is what u like. Expected a bigger variety of beers on tap.

Can I say I am only a fan of the prawn paste chicken wings? The main reason for me to go to Ice Cold Beer with my colleagues is the fried chicken wings. Hot and crispy with the unmistakable prawn paste taste with succulent and juicy chicken meat. Mmmmm… it is just so good. We usually order the pizza and the wings but frankly I can just skip the pizza. It is good but not as memorable as the wings. If you love beer, happy hours is just right for you as it is 2 for the price of 1. I recently discovered the cider which has no promotional price. I can live with just wings and cider at Ice Cold Beer. Get a table upstairs where there are also pool tables to challenge your friends to a game. This place has been around for years and is still crowded almost every night. If you can be there at just past 5pm, you can get your pick of table.

There are three words that come to mind every time someone mentions this place. Prawn. Paste. Wings. Mmmm, I’m salivating even typing them! They are my absolute favourite and when paired with their chili dipping sauce and a tasty beverage my taste buds are in heaven. As their name would dictate, there is a good beer selection as well. In my opinion, it is a great place to go if you are looking for a nice no frills spot to hang out with friends for a couple hours.

Simply put, it’s approximate to a dive bar. Just cleaner and more expensive. Wait… Doesn’t that make it NOT a dive bar? Anyway!!! I highly approve of the music and ambience, also, football fans make the place rather exciting with their whoops and hollers(GOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLLLL). Music– ACDC, etc etc, aka classic rock. Do it.

Part of the whole emerald hill group of bars, ice cold never disappoints. Great wings, decent beer specials and an interesting crowd, way less douchey than boat quay and less precious than robertson quay. It also didn’t hurt that this was my neighborhood watering hole and on my commute back home every evening from MRT

This place has a pretty good beer selection that is diverse. You get the staples of guniess, tiger, Budweiser, but you can also get little creatures and chimay. The best part of this place are the circa 1985 swimsuit posters all over the walls. Can you believe that was sexy!

I’ve been coming here for drinks with friends for a good 8 years and I can’t seem to find anything wrong with it. The 3 main things about it that makes it so good are the chicken wings, beer and crowd! Everyone is friendly here and there’s a very chill out atmosphere that puts you at ease. Do take note, parking can be quite a hassle during the weekends, but it’s still a great place to head to if you’re already in the area and looking for a place to chill.

I love this part of town. The three bars along this stretch of Emerald Hill is pretty and quaint, with each specializing in a different thing(one for beer, one for wine, another for cocktails). ICB, obviously, does beers. It’s no longer the place with the most number of diverse or obscure beers(perhaps 5 years ago it was so), but it is still a fun place to come to for the beer, chicken wings and lovely shophouse setting. Sit alfresco and while the night away.

Always plan to reserve a table before you visit. This is so that you can get the spot you want, which can be hard on a crowded night. The cozy setting at Ice Cold Beer is really relaxing, and conveniently located right in the heart of Orchard Road, though its always crowded. The food offerings are great as well, and one of their signatures has to be the prawn paste chicken wings. Juicy and tender, and full of flavour without being too oily, the prawn paste comes across well without being too sour. One highly recommended dish to try.

Ice Cold Beer has a kinda homey atmosphere with its dimly lit and woody settings. If you’re early you could score seats outside, but if not you’re better off heading upstairs where it’s a little bit quieter and you can have a conversation. Under the Emerald Hill Group along with its neighbours Que Pasa and No. 5, ICB is the one with the extensive beer menu, but it shares a common food menu with them; my staple meals here are the Prawn Pizza and a full portion of the Prawn Paste Chicken Wings. Wash that all down with a pint of Stella Artois draft beer and you have one perfect chill out evening.
