Spacious & climate controlled, Han’s is a nice place to relax and have coffee. The food is OK but there are better tasting options nearby.

Very decent cakes for the price. For when you’re craving something sweet but don’t want to spend $ 7 – 8 on a slice of cake.

Han’s has come a long way since it first entered Singapore at Novena. I remember those days as a student and a group of us could have a ‘treat’ — a set meal each for under $ 10 that included a soup, a drink, and dessert. These days the format of Han’s set meal is still the same, though of course the prices have risen. There are still a couple of sets that you can pay for using a red $ 10 note — Fish N Chip, and Grilled Fish Dory. I usually order their Black Pepper Chicken Chop or the Grilled Fillet of Turkey. The mains come with fries and boiled vegetables — carrots/broccoli/peas and beans. The ordering format is simple. You tell the counter staff your order, pay up, they give you the soup, sides, drinks and number tag, and you go back to your seat to wait for the mains to be delivered. Utensils are at a side counter, you can get them along with pepper and serviettes. Always love a place with free tissue, you never know who’s gonna mess up. I enjoy the pace and comfortable space in this outlet, especially during the earlier part of weekends.
