New ice cream joint that’s a welcome sight amidst the throngs of coffee shops and pubs that line Changi Village. We wandered in close to midnight and were duly entertained nonetheless. As the nice dude behind the counter put it– perks of being one’s own boss means one gets to dictate opening hours. The décor is tastefully done with the arty hanging lights and exposed light bulbs that are so popular these days. There’s other stuff for sale — tumblers and pouches lined casually on bookshelves, and it’s a bit like wandering into a really nice house or a homely sort of showroom. Ice cream choices were a little on the safe side, though I hear more adventurous flavours are coming up. I had a delightfully refreshing lemon and sour plum that I enjoyed immensely, as its texture was like that of a fluffy sorbet. Parking is a bit of a pain unless you score a fortuitous parallel spot along the busy Changi Village stretch. Otherwise, the regular car parks are a distance away and you’ll have to hoof it, which may not be a bad thing after scarfing down all the Changi Village nosh.
