Awfully Chocolate

This was the 1^st place I stopped when we got off the MRT station.
I’m a chocolate lover so this place was right up my alley.
* tiramisu
* chocolate crêpe cake
* dark chocolate truffles (buy 1 box, get 1 free)
This single transaction cost me $ 41. Little did I know, I can expense this. I have a great GM, BTW so I might come back before I fly back to snag some more tiramisu and chocolate truffles for myself. I was not a fan of the crêpe cake; a bit too soggy for me but the chocolate truffles and tiramisu was phenomenal.
My colleague watched in horror as I screamed and paid $ 41 on chocolates… for myself.

What a guilty pleasure you are! I walk past your displays time and time again, and cannot help but be seduced by your chocolatey charms… oh where am I going with this? It’s a chocolate cake shop. And they’ve done amazingly well at making a simple treat that is delicious and decadent at the same time.
The ladies who staff this place are like pixies — mostly young, super-​cheerful, and stick-​thin, leading me to imagine what a diet of chocolate cake (and their other offerings including dark chocolate ice cream and… chocolate) can do for me.
With the display units showing their wares proudly, you feel that they never run out of stock, so you can always pop by and pick up something… and that is dangerous not only to me, but also my wallet. But that is something I do gladly anyway.

Good news for chocolate lovers staying in the East! Awfully Chocolate has recently opened an outlet at Tampines 1! I love the dark chocolate ice cream here; it’s a perfect remedy for a chocolate craving. The cakes are also rich and succulent, I cannot make up my mind which to recommend because all tastes really good to me (so it really depends on your preference: all chocolate, chocolate banana or chocolate rum and cherry). Over the years, they expanded their menu to offer chocolate truffles and cupcakes as well. Worth a try I would say!
