Björk Bar & Grill

This is my first trip to Sweden, and my first meal. I have nothing to compare to except restaurants in other countries. The service was spot on. Each course was allowed to be completed before they brought the next course.
I had the suggested menu, the grilled asparagus was nicely done. The flavors blended well. The next course was well prepared but not to my taste. The final course was fantastic. Ample amount of cheese and fruit. The bread was very flavorful.

Ate here while traveling on a business trip and staying in the Courtyard Marriott hotel. The restaurant occupies much of the lobby of the building.
Was intrigued by a draft beer on the brief menu. Säsongsten Fat. There was a note on the menu that said to «Ask your waiter» with regard to the beer. My query was met with the muted response, «It is like Guinness». It was a good beer, but not like Guinness. Dark in colour, yes. Syrupy and thick, no. More malty with a nice crisp bitter finish. This was only the first misunderstanding.
My impression was that Björk was named after the like-​named Icelandic singer. It is actually the Swedish word for birch tree. That was the second misunderstanding.
The last misunderstanding was regarding my «Club Sandwich». Something safe was my desire. What I got was not that. They deconstructed a regular club sandwich and served it on top of a flatbread.
I was hungry and tried to eat it, but couldn’t. The flatbread was slathered with far too much aioli. There was abundant lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes and some chicken and bacon. Portion size was decent. It just didn’t work.
The waiter eventually happened along and I explained my confusion and difficulty with the order. He tried to explain the dish, but we couldn’t find a common linguistic ground. Eventually he replaced my sandwich with a Caesar salad. It was ordinary.

Been here for lunch a couple of times enjoying great service and high quality food.
They have a pretty large set up of tables both inside and outside during summer. Make sure to get a reservation if you go there rush hour (12:00), since it can be a bit tricky otherwise. Also make sure not to go too late, since the food variation gets more restrained towards ending. Although ive never been disappointed, just ask and they will refill you.
Pricing is a bit steep for a lunch, although it def. worth a try and its perfect for business meetings.

One of my favorite place to take a brunch my tip it’s chicken wings and some scrambles. They were delicious and the bacons was also good :-). This place it’s good if you want to have good brunch on Sunday after 12 pm

It’s so great to come in to this courtyard hotel from the states if you like good beer! The pub in the lobby (Bjork) carries an awesome IPA called Mohawk that is really great if your into American styled IPA’s.

If you are staying at the hotel, the breakfast buffet served here is very good. Plenty of choices, and very fresh breads, pastries and hot foods. Hot food was limited to scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and potatoes. But, plenty of other items, like pickled herring, cold cuts and others to enjoy.
For dinner, I was just «satisfied» with the food. We ordered the mixed grill platter, which comes with steak, chicken, lamb sausage and chorizo. The meat wasn’t anything memorable, but it may be that my taste is for better U.S. meats (I live in the USA). Still, at $ 100 for the platter, it was a bit expensive, as were drinks. Alas, we are finding that spirits in Stockholm can give you sticker shock. We think that we should have perhaps tried the Swedish Meatballs instead, as that would have been a safer choice.
The bar part of the restaurant is nice, and has many different drinks to choose from. I was very disappointed to learn that all the martini glasses were broken at a recent hotel banquet event. I mean, really? Even still, the bartender Andreas (a great guy, by the way) managed to improvise and serve my martinis in a wine glass. I was happy. I wasn’t as happy to see that four cocktails ran up a bar tab of $ 100. But, when you are on vacation, who cares, right?

Great place… This was quite a surprise find in the humble hotel lobby of the Marriott Courtyard. Small bar staffed by a truely talented team. Andreas made a couple of great drinks, none had names but concocted with flair. Try the «Old Fashion» very nice and well made bourbon cocktail.
We said to him, «Andreas, we need to eat something make some choices for us and dont hold back» All great, try the Pork Cheeks with mashed potato, it was fantastic.

well where should i begin… we had a truly wonderful holiday experience in stockholm sweden this dec 2012 the staff both in the bar & grill area were very pleasant and professional; there was a nice ambiance in the restaurant with very warm low lighting and comfy conversation areas where a group could share drinks and chat without intrusion… the music playing was a rhythmic playlist of catchy tunes commonly referred to as progressive house music… dj/​bar tender noah your the man! safe travels abroad brotha =0)… my 2 favorite bar tenders «noah & andreas» but not forgot is josefin who was moving on to bigger challenges… our drinks were very good from their recommendations of true swedish traditional too what ever tickles your fancy i became a fan of famous grouse served neatly as per andreas my other favorite bar keep to the very nice collection of wines … now the food was a nice selection of traditional swedish fare, western standards for breakfast, fresh fruit whole grain breads, cheeses, smoked meats including rain dear /​elk among other various cold cuts… menu items were prepared expediently with good presentation and use of fresh ingredients… overall linda boquist manger runs a really great fine tuned crew best wishes to all love you guys fondly the hudsons (bigdaddy, wendell, erika
