If there are two words that will get people very excited when it comes to drinking, it’s ‘happy hour’. Unfortunately many pubs and clubs don’t really do happy hours any more; I guess maybe it’s all just seen as a bit old-fashioned. Plus many places do cheap drinks deals all the time or not at all. The Plough is one such place that still persists with a good ol’ happy hour that, funnily enough, isn’t actually a happy ‘hour’ as it lasts from 11am through until 7pm everyday. Not that anyone’s complaining of course. The pub itself is well-sized and has a decent location in the town centre whilst helpfully being sat next to a couple of takeaways as well. Aside from their happy hour that offers pints for just £2.10, The Plough also has a variety of decent drinks offers on bottled beers as well as spirits and cocktails for the ladies amongst you. As a consequence, the atmosphere in The Plough is always friendly and quite lively, making it a good place to go when you’re looking to get in the mood for a night out and it’s also a decent place to watch the footy of a matchday.
