The Plough Public House

If there are two words that will get people very excited when it comes to drinking, it’s ‘happy hour’. Unfortunately many pubs and clubs don’t really do happy hours any more; I guess maybe it’s all just seen as a bit old-​fashioned. Plus many places do cheap drinks deals all the time or not at all.
The Plough is one such place that still persists with a good ol’ happy hour that, funnily enough, isn’t actually a happy ‘hour’ as it lasts from 11am through until 7pm everyday. Not that anyone’s complaining of course.
The pub itself is well-​sized and has a decent location in the town centre whilst helpfully being sat next to a couple of takeaways as well. Aside from their happy hour that offers pints for just £2.10, The Plough also has a variety of decent drinks offers on bottled beers as well as spirits and cocktails for the ladies amongst you.
As a consequence, the atmosphere in The Plough is always friendly and quite lively, making it a good place to go when you’re looking to get in the mood for a night out and it’s also a decent place to watch the footy of a matchday.
