Munchies

I came to Munchies today, looking for a café to replace Amigo’s as my go-​to breakfast joint on a weekend, and hoped that Munchies could fill that place, however I was wrong.
I would like to first comment on the changes from my previous visit 6 months ago, the café now has changed its’ décor slightly with quite a nice, cool wallpaper with espresso on etc, and the things they serve, which was quite cool and made the café look quite nice, inside.
The staff seem to be okay, I ordered a poached egg, with scrambled egg and beans, however I was very disappointed. The store its-​self, is up a small doorway and step, and it is hard to get to the counter as it is very narrow, so probably isn’t the best place to visit with prams or wheelchairs.
My food, was extremely poor and disappointing, to the point where it was inedible. My scrambled eggs were slightly stuck together and really bland, to the point where no matter how much seasoning I added, it just wouldn’t taste as it should be, which makes me consider whether a key ingredient, such as butter or milk could have been forgotten.
My poached egg wasn’t much better, it was small and in my opinion was far too undercooked, to the point where it wasn’t very nice, and was far too runny. The beans were not much of an improvement, tasting cheap, which also added to a poor meal.
Munchies seems to be slightly cheaper than most other cafes in Middleton, however they isn’t a massive jump in pricing with other cafes, and of course I would rather pay for quality.
As I have had a poor experience here, and now a negative one, and on this case couldn’t finish my food as it was that poor, I do feel Munchies warrants a single one star.

I’ve had their beef burger, 4 layer, I think it was a special or something but it was absolutely delicious! It was such good beef, such good cheese, too good to resist! I had to go for seconds! They make everything right in front of you, from the burgers to the buns! All good! They offer shawarma type rolls too, my friend had that! Not as good as the huge burger!
