This café is run and operated by Tesco and is up to a very cheap standard, with a breakfast item costing 50p each, whether it be bacon or a hash brown, sausage or egg, beans or toast and you can collect clubcard points, even though it is one of the best places to have a breakfast in Middleton, I feel a downgrade is in order after a negative experience today, as a regular visitor to this café on a weekly basis, I have notice that they is a big difference between food, one week it can be quite nice and presented to a good standard, another week it can be the opposite. They open at 09:30 on Sunday’s, I like this as it means you don’t have to wait until 10am(when the store) opens to grab your breakfast, however as far as I’m aware. the tills are not turned on until 10am so you won’t be able to have a quick shopping and pick up a few bits from the shop floor and get out before 10am. I dont want to go through details about this café again, as I have mentioned this all in my previous reviews for this place but still they need to maintain a consistent serving, and it is the same staff who seem to work there — to change standards like that, I feel is just careless and it makes me want to consider taking my weekly custom elsewhere, to somewhere up to a more consistent standard. I don’t want to give Tesco 1 star as it is easy to go to, while shopping in Tesco and it does have very good prices, award clubcard points and they don’t even mind bringing your own drinks in, on many occasions I have brought drinks in from nearby Costa Coffee and off the shop floor, but as much as I would like to — I can’t give more than 2 stars until they can prove to me, they are consistent with their service and I feel it shouldn’t be that hard when it is mainly the same staff working week after week.
