Great food, good service and the location is beautiful as well, it used to be the summer house of Lord Holland and Damien Hirst paintings on the walls.

We went to the Belvedere for dinner with a group of seven people. The restaurant is situated in Holland Park and the setting is beautiful. We were seated upstairs at a nice table with views of the outdoors. The food was average. It’s not bad, but it’s also not good. I categorized it like catering food as if you were at a wedding. The service was good and attentive. Overall, the Belvedere feels like it’s stuck in the 80s with the menu, ambiance and feel. Would I go back? Probably not for dinner… maybe for a lunch.

Beautiful restaurant, romantically nestled in Holland Park. Perfect for a pre-or post-opera meal if you are attending a performance at Opera Holland Park, as it is virtually adjacent. Bookings can be made online, but as we were booking a pre opera seating at 5.30 pm, before the restaurant officially opens, we seemed to be unable to use this service, and made our reservation by phone instead. As previous reviewers have mentioned, it is not that easy to find, and could do with better sign posting. Nonetheless once found, it is certainly worth it. The restaurant is elegant, so feel free to dress up, although it is not essential. Service was discrete, with typical French flourishes, and the food was modern British. The pre opera seating restricts you to a set menu of 2 courses for £25, or 3 for £29. However it was great value, with good fish, meat and vegetarian options, and the quality was excellent. The sea bream was perfectly cooked, and the lamb was reported to be very good, if a little fatty. Desserts looked good too.

The Belvedere is a beautiful restaurant in a gorgeous setting. A perfect place to go for a romantic meal, dinner with your parents, or to rent in its entirety for a party!

A fantastic meal in fantastic surroundings — the Belvedere has a 1920’s elegance to it, it’s classy but not at all stuffy with just the right balance of background buzz. The food was perfect — I had mackerel pâté to start then the Steak with grilled Veg as a main — not the most adventurous choice but sometimes nothing less than a steak will do! Everything was prepared and presented with perfect poise — all the«p“s! This place is excellent value with 2 courses for £20 during the week at lunch — considering the quality and the surroundings(and it’s in London!) that’s superb.

Beautiful interior, surrounded by Holland park, and awesome beef wellington. Also their raspberry chocolate cake is just too good to pass up.

Very decent service, classy setup, and the quality of food and wine is brilliant. I gave Belvedere 3 pound signs, but I consider this to be inexpensive for a proper dining experience. Do ask for directions when you make a reservation, I live less than 15 minutes walk away from Belvedere and it took me almost an hour to get there because some parts of Holland Park is closed at night. Fine dining food and service, the price and the dress code of any normal restaurants — what more can you ask for? Try it, unless you much prefer eating foam and pretense.

We went to the Belvedere on our anniversary last year and were very happy with the experience. The setting in Holland Park is quite lovely. Though if you are not familiar with the area it can be bit difficult to locate the restaurant and the park can be filled with a few sketchy individuals at night. Have them call a cab when leaving. The ambiance is quite nice and the staff pleasant and helpful. Knowing it was our anniversary, they gave us a quite table off to the side and back in the lower dining area. Or it was because we are from the US and they didn’t want us to be seen. No matter. The spot was perfect. We ordered the pheasant and the lamb. I often find pheasant to be a tad gamey, but not here. Excellent preparation. It was a bit pricey, but with the drop in the exchange rate it is a bargain for those visiting. One of my faves in London.
