I agree with dizze77. I went for Christmas meal in 07 and it was not good. Seems better now. Two steaks for £12 or something so good value. I thought it had changed hands based on a sign out the front but the bar tender said it hadent. It’s a few miles up Stroud road so you need a car. Wouldent want to walk at night. No street lights in the sticks and it’s a fast road

This is quite a nice little pub again now — it went downhill for a little bit, but now (Jan 09) it seems to be finding its’ feet again.
They even offer some pub meals for £1!
This is an olde worlde pub, with lots of nooks and crannies, so you can get lost if you want to snuggle up with a loved one.
There is a massive car park here and it is really well lit — but don’t drive in too quickly, otherwise you might damage your car on the slope of the car park!
It’s really easy to spot — on the Stroud Road.
The bar staff aren’t always as welcoming as they could be — but they generally serve you pretty quickly!
