Food service was a little slow but once we got it, it delicious!

Had Long Island Ice Tea and Singapore Sling there. Came from a long walk and had a table next to the radiator in the back of the bar — cozy and warm. Staff was very friendly. Would go there again.

If I were the mayor of Cambridge, I would appeal for The Snug to be rezoned. I have visited for both food and drinks on a few occasions due to proximity of my school and each time I have been surprised with the inadequacy and rudeness of the staff. The food is fine, the setting is fine, but the customer service is quite critically lacking.

A cozy little spot on Lensfield road, right around the corner from the business school and the Fitzwilliam Museum. Very nice décor inside, a fireplace that they’ll light on cold evenings. Pretty good beer selection on tap. Prices tend to be slightly on the higher side, but this is, after all, Cambridge, home of the 3-pound-and-something pint. The menu is robust, with lots of traditional and non-traditional choices. My favorite happens to be the chicken, brie, cranberry and bacon sandwich, though I’d recommend getting the cranberry sauce on the side, as it tends to make the bun soggy. Overall: Really good spot that I’ve frequented a number of times, and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again.

My favourite place to go for cocktails, the menu being vast and not too expensive for the quality. During the day it is more of a coffee bar, and a comfortable place to hang out. Being slightly away from the city centre means that the small space isn’t too badly crowded, but when the big screen plays matches either book in advance or run and hide

The snug manages to cover a range of categories, offering great food during the day, particularly breakfast/brunch(the Eggs Benedict are to die for, while the pancakes and ice cream are just the right side of sickly sweet), and doubling as a restaurant/bar in the evening, often with live jazz music or large screen sports. With its red walls, candlit tables and leather sofas its also a great place to go either for a date or drinks with friends.

The snug bar is a little out of the city centre but a good drop in on the way in to town to start a night out, or for a cosy quiet bite to eat. Theres table service for food and drinks and its very chilled. The décor is very warm and cosy there’s exposed brick and fireplaces but feels very modern. The snug is small as the name suggests but thats the appealling aspect you can enjoy a drink on a saturday night without having to shout over other people. The drinks are a bit pricey a cocktail is around £5.50 upwards and its pretty much cocktails or beer however the cocktail menu is vast. The food is quite simple something for everyone and more reasonably prices. its also open for brunch with a menu consisting of typical options from full english to bagels. Many evenings in the week are filled with events such as live music and organised fun and games, the staff are attentive and it has a local feel without the tradition. The good thing about the snug bar is that its good for a saturday night and equally as comfortable for nursing a hangover o a sunday morning.
