L’Occitane

I find it hard to get excited about hand cream but my mum and auntie both swear by L’Occitane’s range. It’s made from shea butter apparently and makes your pinkies feel divine.
As the title hints, L’Occitane is a stylish chain of French beauty products. The emphasis is on the flavours and fragrances of Provence and using good quality, natural ingredients rather than harsh chemicals. Their products are nicely packaged and smell lovely. There’s a large bath and body range, a skincare range including exfoliators, elixars, masks and serums, a few anti-​ageing products and some perfumes.
Last time I went in, I was tempted by the Almond Supple skin oil and the Citrus Verbena hand lotion using verbena from Corsica and lemon and grapefruit from Italy. Then I saw the price-​tags and realised, Lush is more in my price-​range. If you have the cash though, they’re one of the best beauty chains on the high street.
They also sell what every working girl needs: cooling mouse for tired legs!
