Tucked amongst the other cool indie shops around Market Square (apart from the rogue Claire’s Accessories, opposite), R & W is home to a unique and quirky range of mostly fashionable clothing, bags and accessories.
Some of the tops are a bit garish and too busy with the print designs and embroideries, but see past that and you’ll find a few little gems hidden amongst it all.
There’s long zigzag stripy jumper dresses (which are on sale at the moment), bright off the shoulder tops with funky designs, a lovely selection of floral and spotted summer dresses and a massive range of really distinctive and punchy handbags.
As well as posh snakeskin and tartan clutch bags, there’s really cool shiny black and blue handbags embellished with bright pink stitching and lining.
They’ve got massive pink padlocks, buckles and buttons, and have dangly skull and star key rings pinned on with a broach which give what would be a normal everyday bag a big kick of funk.
Definitely worth a rummage to dig out the gems.
