The food is really good and super fresh! All the box set are incredible and there a gig variety of sushi. The restaurant is an modern and very cold fast food. About the price: in line with other sushi fast food(Kokoro).

I LOOOOVE Itsu. It’s fantastic. The detox soup is my absolute favourite. The dumplings are soft and delicious, the noodles are lovely, edemame are firm and lovely and the sauces on the table makes it so that you can make it spicy or whatever you want. Have fun, splash in some soy sauce. The décor is super friendly and bright and I feel really comfortable in here. The staff are always really nice as well. I think that this is my number one easy, reliable lunch spot.

Itsu is my go to lunch spot! Nothing can beat a detox miso soup for me, especially when you are feeling a little under the weather. And also for only £2.99, bargain! Today I tried their green raw veg smoothie which had spinach, coriander, apple juice, ginger, avocado & cucumber — very tasty and healthy! They have a good selection of sushi as well but I’m not really a fan of shop bought sushi!

Nice place with various choices and fresh food but not such great sushi. Great for a quick lunch!

Recently I was ill for about a week. The last meal I ate before I fell ill was at Itsu. I hated Itsu for a couple of weeks because my brain associated it with feeling sick. Then, the other day I was stuck for somewhere to eat lunch. Subway was full of kids with yellow backpacks. The Kokoro queue was coming out of the door. I couldn’t put myself through the torture of a bloaty bread sandwich from Sainsbury’s. So I reluctantly went to Itsu. They always look at me weird in here. It’s like they have a secret about their food that they are hiding. I get the feeling that the people working the tills feel like they are overqualified. They act happy, but I know they are quite disinterested with everything. I opted for a Thai Chicken Potsu It was delicious. If you like rice, like vegetables and are looking for something light(but still filling, it’s like magic) then go for a Thai Chicken or Chicken Teriyaki Potsu. I like most other things from here. Particularly the Edamame beans. Oh and the Detox drinks! They offer a student discount. They sell everything at half price for half an hour before they close. Monday — Thursday they close at 10pm Friday — 11pm Saturday — 11pm Sunday — 9pm Itsu won’t make you ill. It will make you better.

I like Itsu. Having been to their restaurant in Kensington a few times, I was really pleased to see they were opening a ‘fast food’ version in Brighton. I was wandering around town yesterday afternoon and I felt super peckish. I’m one of those people that forgets to eat! Off to Itsu I went. I opted for their Chicken Jaipur Noodle Postu. Glass noodles with chargrilled chicken, edamame and varios other vegetables, and only 299 calories! I was really pleased with the taste, however to my annoyance, towards the end of eating my meal, I discovered there were RAISINS in my food. I wasn’t happy about this, and they weren’t mentioned in the decription of my meal on the wall. I am taking one star off for this, because I really, really dislike raisins in my food.

Itsu is great, and this one in Brighton is no exception. I wouldn’t call it outstanding sushi, but its delicious and super healthy and there is lots to choose from. Its not cheap to get the sushi, especially if you want to eat in, but the hot potsus are a real delight and very well priced. Id recommend the veg, egg drop and dumpling potsu, i absolutely can’t get enough of this. So tasty and filling and healthy! The best time to get the sushi is an hour before closing(it says half hour on the website but the one in Brighton gives you an hour) and everything fresh made is half price. The staff are excellent, ive been in there an hour and a quarter/twenty mins before closing and they still give you half price. They treat their customers well! A very clean looking and clean eating place. If it were a bit less expensive or delivered that outstanding sushi I look for, then itd be five stars for sure.

I should probably take out shares in Itsu considering the amount of times I’ve bought lunch there since it opened a few months back. Dangerously close to my office, Itsu is a great option for anyone looking for a quick bite to eat that won’t break the bank, or diet. Being a recent convert to the 5:2 régime, I love Itsu’s commitment to listing the nutritional values on each of it’s dishes. The tuna salad, tuna and salmon tartare salad and detox miso soup have all become popular options on diet days, with calorie counts at under 200 a piece — not bad when they taste this good. And for non diet days, there’s plenty to choose from. My favourite has to be the sushi, the best quality I’ve found in this price bracket in Brighton.

I am actually a little bit in love with this place. I was excited about this before it even opened and it is so refreshing to be able to now get good sushi on the go. From the creator of Pret A Manger it has a similar set up where you can choose cold meals from the fridges or order hot food at the counter. Their moto is ‘eat beautiful’ and there is a strong focus on healthy food with plenty of low carb options too. If you come here in the last hour then all of the sushi that’s left is half price! The hot food is really delicious. I am trying to stop eating here so much just in case I get bored as I really don’t want that to happen. I don’t think I can though as there is enough variety. The teriyaki salmon is lush and I really love the duck curry as well.

I’ve been looking for great sushi in Brighton for a long time, with a few failed attempts under my belt, so when I saw that Itsu was coming to town I must say I was rather excited indeed! The store began to unfold, with posters of fit and happy looking people cropping up and white, white surfaces appearing everywhere and, honestly, I couldn’t help but wonder if this was just going to be another big chain serving mediocre food in a shiny new building. That being said… I tried Itsu the other day with a friend and fellow Unilocaler, Brett, and I was very pleased with my experience! The selection of sushi was amazing, with loads of different options, in all shapes and sizes! There were shushi boxes, sashimi, salads and combination boxes as well. The food looked very appealing and fresh as well and the sushi lover in me perked right up upon seeing what a wonderful selection was laid out. I opted for the spicy tuna roll box, which was delicious! It was exactly what I was expecting and what I wanted, but did have a little more ginger in it than usual. This was a nice touch and I found it interesting, but ginger haters beware — the taste was strong and, like I say, a little unexpected. I also decided to try one of their hot dishes… It’s only fair to try a range, right? :P I opted for their duck and rice one and it was good! There was a lot of duck in there and it was tasty and not fatty at all. The pot was filling and tasty, but there was a lot of rice at the bottom, all lumped together so I think the thing to do is give it all a good stir before you dive in! I’m pretty sure it even tells you to do this on the packaging, but I must have missed it in my eager state! haha The place itself is big, airy, modern and clean! It’s very pleasant and it certainly looks very impressive. The design of it all in great! There seem to only be stools, which were very comfy, but they might not cater to everyone so be aware of this. The staff were friendly and the service was quick too, so no complaints there! I’m giving Itsu a 4 becuase it was really good food in a nice setting. It’s missing out on the 5th star becuase it didn’t quite blow my mind, but all in all, it was a realty good dining expereince!

With loads of new sushi bars popping up in town recently, it is time for another. Itsu is popular in London and made a venture down to Brighton. The food is pretty decent, especially at the reasonable price you pay to eat. The décor of the place is great too. Simple, clean and spacious. Lots of food to chose from. The cold stuff from sushi, sashimi and salads. Then there’s hot food too in the form of rice and noodle soup pots. Everything is kind of health conscious, so you dont get the fried dishes you would normally find in other Japanese restaurants. It’s cheap and cheerful, does the job if you like Japanese food. It’s more fast food than restaurant so don’t go there thinking you’re getting a posh meal. You’re food comes on trays, the cutlery is plastic. Kinda cool cutlery too! Well worth a visit
