Perfectly cooked tasty juicy burger in a soft bun. Just forget that damn onion or ask, don’t put it in automatically. It can ruin everything if isn’t freshly sliced or red onion. The service is good and fast but I’m pretty sure they can smile a bit more(or at all) Never asked me what would I drink or recommended anything from the extras.

I can’t say enough about Grubbs yes it’s where we end up at the end of a night but they’ve become somewhere I show everyone. It’s cheap and easy but good burgers no matter what time of day, always flexible so you can create whatever burger you want, fast.

Delicious food. Best burgers I’ve had in Brighton — proper meat/good quality ingredients, and good flavour combinations available on the menu. Staff also very friendly, and prices good given the great quality.

Grubbs is bloody great. Malaysian burger is my favourite, dollops of peanut butter and chilli sauce make for a great combination! The milkshakes are also really fantastic, well worth it. I only wish they would move up to London, as I miss them!

I’ve never been much of a burger fan, but I was out late and I heard Grubbs was vegetarian-friendly so I decided to give them a try. My first, and most important observation was that everything was very, very cheap. They also had interesting variations on what one might expect from a burger. As I’ve seen several other reviewers mention, the Malaysian is really the way to go(although it is the only one I’ve had). I’ve got to say that I was impressed.

For a greasy burger gaff, this is getting a 5⁄5! Baaaaanging you just can’t beat it. Everything is delicious, I’m making my way through the menu and haven’t been disappointed, only in my fat self. I’m loving the Malaysian and the Caribbean at the moment. The fries are so good. The milkshake. Mmmmmmm… For a cheap fast food place, this is THEONE.

Step aside ‘In and Out’! I’ve got a new love and it’s Grubbs Burgers! No matter the malt machine was down, the fries were crispy and fresh like a Brit knows how to make chips and the sauce on the Cheeseburger was really incredible! A chunky slice of onion, great sirloin beef, crispy lettuce and delicious sauce on a fresh bun — what more could a Yank ask for after a night at the pubs?!

Wondering around Brighton you can often find a Grubbs Burger, a classic Brighton only burger chain. I’ve only really experienced Grubbs on the latter end of a night out, there is always a wide range burgers, fries and hotdogs available. Prices are ok and quality is good though in my experience the service is never particulary fast.

Grubb’s is another place that loses points from me in terms of its lack of wheat-free options. I mean come on, how difficult is it to have a gluten-free bun as an option? Their burgers look and smell so totally delicious and all my friends love this place so I know I’m really missing out. We went here after a few drinks across the road in The Ranelagh last night, with me hell-bent on getting one of their enormous portions of fries, but instead I opted for a bag of their fried jacket wedges with BBQ sauce. I am SO glad I did. They were garlicky, herby and totally gorgeous. Not to mention the utterly MASSIVE portion size. Wow. I said Red Veg in North Laine did the best potato wedges, now I think I’m going to have to seriously reconsider that statement… The only downside was that the staff didn’t seem to properly understand how to work a chip and pin machine. Consequently, they attempted to charge us twice holding up the entire queue of frustrated-looking Kemp Towners. When we explained to them that we were in fact right, they were decidedly grumpy and rude. They lose a star for that. And for their lack of options for my late-night snackage.

«You must try a Grubbs Burger,» people often say to me. «Have you tried a Grubbs burger? No? You must try a Grubbs burger. You must.» So I did. And I must that if you haven’t tried a Grubbs burger, you must try a Grubbs burger. There is nothing around that compares to the amazing experience of eating a Grubbs burger for the first time. At first, you’re skeptical, thinking that it can’t be as great as everyone says it is. But it is, and more. And combine it with a milkshake, and you have yourself one of the tastiest meals you have ever had. This even beats the greasy and fatty — but oh so tasty — burgers my cousin cooks. Seriously, try a Grubbs burger.

A Brighton institution, this branch of Grubbs seems to be one of the places everyone heads to after going to see bands at the nearby Concorde 2, Ocean Rooms or St. George’s Church. The reason? They stay open late and serve cheap and filling meat and veggie burgers. The range of different flavours and toppings is pretty good for a take away and they sell chips and onion rings as sides. Whilst the York Place branch has ample seating for groups, this particular one is quite small so you usually have to stand and munch before venturing back onto St. James Street and whatever adventures await you…

A Grubbs burger never lasts long enough, they are very tasty. I think this is mostly down to the array of toppings. I like the Original that comes with Dill, seems to add something that makes the burger more of a burger. The milkshakes are extremely creamy and my favourite around.

To echo the previous reviewers and the common consensus about this place: the best burgers in Brighton. This branch is in Kemp Town, but find one on Western Road and London Road too. They do onion rings, wedges and chips, but other than that it’s just burgers — beef, chicken or vegetarian. And the menu is huge — choose your typical onion, relish and cheese or get adventurous with pineapple in the Hawaiaan or peanut butter in the Malaysian. They’re renowned for their good quality beef burgers(choose single, double or triple). But I often go for the veggie option which tastes yummy too. They always cook to order so expect to wait a couple of minutes. And the prices are pretty reasonable — it cost me £6.16 last weekend for a vegetarian Hawaiian and a double beef Hawaiian. This is a really simple idea that works — retro burger shop that opens late, with delicious burgers whacked into pretension-free sesame buns — great post-pub/club grub.

This a is really unique ideas for a fast food joint, famous in Brighton for it massive array of burgers, Grubbs have several outlets around the city. This Grubbs is half way up St James St catering for the Kemptown revelers, although I have to say there have been countless times I’ve found it closed earlier than expected, so get food before the club rather than after. Its a must if you looking to take in the entire Brighton experience as its much loved by locals, The blue cheese burgers are do die for but there’s also about 50 others to chose from!

The best burgers in Brighton by far. Beef burgers and veggie burgers. Their potato wedges are also fantastic. Not only are the burgers otherworldly but they have the wildest toppings I’ve encountered before or since. My favourite was the Maylasian, which had lettuce, salsa and peanut butter. Yes, peanut butter. I was skeptical when I first heard of it but I swear I was converted the instant I took my first bite. You will too. That is just one of 10ish different kinds of burgers you can get. Simply put, if you go to Brighton and don’t get Grubbs you are a fool.
