Singapore noodles I had looked nice when it arrived at table. But chicken pieces were sour, green peppers were off and the charsiu also tasted old! A disappointment!

Dinner in southside Birmingham usually means Chinese or buffet or Chinese Buffet so I was pleased to try Min Min noodle bar. I had chicken and black bean sauce which was really quick to arrive The venue looks more like an Italian Ice Cream Parlour than a fusion noodle bar. Worth going for a quick bite to eat if you have under an hour and you want some real food!

After visiting Min Min, I now understand why there are good reviews and people talking about this place. We’ve been to Min Min for a family meal and its menu suited everyone from the vegetarians, non spicy, carnivores and spice lovers. Personally, I really enjoyed the the Japanese noodle soup although I really need to work on my noodle etiquette. It was tasty filling and just what you need on a cold day. You can also get a good hot lemon tea here too. Unfortunately, we were too full to sample the desserts so I will just have to go again. The décor is pretty simple with a random moped here and there. It’s very clean and tidy and all the cleaning products and mop appear to be kept in the ladies toilet if you need any tips. The customer service is very good yet relaxed which is good if you’re having a bit catch up.

Great food at a reasonable price. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. I’ve never had a bad dish here, or even a mediocre dish at that. Everything is clearly cooked fresh and to a high standard. Mains are mostly under £8 and this includes noodles or rice for most dishes. The décor is simple and clean cut. Not impressive to look at but not offensive either. The staff are friendly but don’t bother you unnecessarily. My favourite Chinese in the Chinese quarter of Birmingham!

This place is an amazing little restaurant. While I love Wagamama as a chain, this place beats it hands down for the quality of the food, the selection, and the presentation. We discovered it as it’s around the corner from our friends, so we went there for dinner, and we’ve been back several times since then. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and offer very quick service, yet they don’t hassle you which is always welcome. You can customise any of the dishes, but I wouldn’t recommend that you do unless you’ve at least tried it before as they are all delicious! Prices are very reasonable, and it has a very clean, bright, and modern atmosphere.

Trust me me when I say people are going to be talking about this little gem in the months to come. It already has had fantastic reviews on tripadvisor, and I know mine with be the first of many when word gets around. Having driven past this place while it was being built over the last few months, I was excited to see it open. And even more excited to visit on a wet Birmingham night yesterday. With the location being a stones throw from the Arcadian Centre and the tens of different Oriental restaurants, Min Min could be easy to miss. But not with the quality of food on offer. It was always going to be a gusty move opening another Noodle bar. But the good folks behind Min Min also knew this and have created something really different to other places in it’s vicinity. And kindly giving us something delicious and healthy. Min Min specialises in soup noodles. But don’t panic if you don’t like soup noodles. Flip the other side of the menu and you will see a variety of noodle dishes. What sets Min Min apart it the amount of different noodles they have on offer. So many that I can’t remember all of them! The menu is very informative and tells us all about the special and exclusive noodles they have. The number of combinations are endless due to this. And I am looking forward to returning trying the whole list! A quick word about the interior of this place. Despite the words«noodle bar» conjuring up pre existing idea of a place being somewhere where you can have something quick and leaving. And there not much effort in it’s appearance. Min Min is different in the respect that it is somewhere you can go for a quick bite, but feel comfortable in wanting to stay longer and relax, which me and my friend did last night. The atmosphere was modern but not pretentious in the slightest. The service we received from the two waitresses was warm, friendly and genuine. You can’t say that much about places these days. They were both very clued up with everything on offer and well spoken. My friend is a Vegan and we were able to discuss something special and which proved to be fantastic. The waitress helped us reach a delicious conclusion with tonnes of suggestion. He went for the vermicelli, vegetables and tofu soup. They really looked after us in a non intrusive manner. If I had a tiny criticism, something which i will suggest when I visit next, that the menu didn’t contain it’s own Vegetarian section. We had to read the detailed descriptions of each dish to see which was suitable. Even a big V(like Café Soya) next to some dishes listed would have been great. But it’s not a major issue. I opted the Grilled Chicken Teriyaki with Udon noodles in their own signature soup. I have to tell you about this soup. It was so flavoursome like you wouldn’t believe. It wasn’t Chicken stock or vegetable stock, it’s was more that than. The method they used to create this base was detailed on the menu, which I enjoyed reading. There’s not much I can say apart from to go and experience it for yourself! And check out the awesome scooters they have inside!
