Great little pub which is popular amongst students due its cheap drinks and classic pub food.
When you walk in it it doesnt leave much to the imagination and it could do with a lick of paint but that aside the pub has been kept in great condition with pretty much all of the original features remaining.
If you’re looking for a cheap pub that plays all the sports on TV then this is for you. I went with a friend to watch the football and have a couple of beers.
Although the football was on it had a nice chilled out vibe, unlike some of the city centre sport bars which can get a bit overwhelming at times.

This is the pub I regularly went to during my University days. Drinks are well priced and so is the food. I would come back here without hesitation.
Whenever I was on a lunch break a lot of my time was spent here and I was never disappointed with the service I received. The staff were friendly and you were not waiting long for your meal.
Live sports are shown at the Hare of The Dog so you are not short of any sports coverage. It can get crammed near the bar but apart from that, I do not have any problems with the pub.
I have always had a good time when I have come here and I will go back. There is an outside area and also a couple of pool tables as well. Great pub with great staff and also has a friendly atmosphere.

really, with less than an hour to judge this review on I dont know how closesly you should listen to me.
The prices are okay, the menu seems okay and the people seem okay.
How vague right?
well, nothing put me off from going again but nothing there made me beg to go back. I will go again some time soon and decide if its a yes or no (maybe the food will be the decider)

This university pub blends perfectly the traditional English pub with university life. The interior is well-​designed, the music is good and the televisions are always playing less-​seen music videos. It is a good night or afternoon out and serves decent food at low prices. The bartenders are nice and the environment is always festive.
