Pastelaria Sintra Belo

We stopped here to wait for our airbnb to be ready so we could drop off our bags before hiking around the Moorish castle. There are many more options closer to the town center but I’m glad we came here instead. The beers were cheap, the bifanas were tasty and we killed a couple of hours with no problem. They are friendly, and quick service. The places in town are way more expensive and touristy. The egg tarts are great too!

After touring Palácio Nacional da Pena, we came here to grab a quick bite before catching our train back to Lisboa. We each ordered the cheeseburger and I don’t know if he just gave us the wrong item or if they don’t serve real cheeseburgers but it tasted more like a fried veggie burger. It tasted fine but it definitely wasn’t what we expected. It also came with some potato chips that looked like miniature french fries.
This place is located directly across from the train station so if you need to grab and go, this is your spot for some very cheap eats. Two burgers came out to be less than five euros.
