Petit salon de thé offrant, entre autres, la délicieuse spécialité locale: les queijadas da Sapa nous changent un peu des pasteis de nata: une pâte aux amandes(fromage frais, cannelle et sucre — ben tiens!) moulée dans une coque fine et croquante… juste délicieux, né ratez pas ça si vous passez par Sintra!

Les queijadas de Sapa depuis 1756 sont des petites tartelettes traditionnelles de la région. Arretez vous 5 minutes sur votre chemin pour né pas rater ces petites merveilles!

Cute little bakery with overrated pastries. I’m pretty sure this place is in every single tourist guide, so you’re bound to have company during tourist season(luckily I was in Sintra during an off-peak time). What it’s got going for it: cute space in the back with fireplace and window overlooking the hills of Sintra, a few tables out front to people watch, and an English-speaking staff that can give you advice on what to select. What it doesn’t: pastries left me very much unimpressed. They weren’t too far from what you can pick up at a grocery store, and the supposed famous Sintra pastry, queijada, was pretty bland. This place has been here since 1756, so it’s worth the stop from a historical point of view. Unfortunately, the pastries have probably been around that long as well, so maybe stick to just an espresso.
