I must give credit for the effort they put in for the interior of the café, but the food and beverage really isn’t living up to the expectation with what’s seen for the great ambience of the place. Honestly, if I’m to get an iced coffee latte that’s going to frustrate me in the morning, which happened here — I would give the place top 2 stars. However, the place is really comfy and nice — so it’s a 3 stars for now. It’s a simple beverage where for most cafes they mix ice, milk and shots of espresso together. So, when it’s bad, it’s either the coffee beans aren’t good or the barista just messed up the proportions? I ordered their power starter for breakfast — sandwich with poached eggs, avocado and alfalfa and a small spread of tomatoes on the side — that’s the only way I can think of describing the tomatoes. It’s priced at RM17 which I thought they could at least be more generous with the sides to make people feel that it’s worth the price. See — I understand that it’s in the city, but I’m frustrated with the coffee I got, so! I wouldn’t say no if my friend insists to come here, but there are better brunch places I suppose.

This restaurant has extremely bad service although their ambience is beautiful and café is generally comfortable, their service is unacceptable. There is only 1 waiter handling the entire café during peak hour and It literally took him 20 minutes to refill my glass of water. It took 30 minutes for my food to arrive from the kitchen to my table. The roasted chicken i ordered tasted blend, no flavour, no salt, nothing. I asked salt from the waiter and he never gave me. The price is absolutely outrages espically for such a lousy service. Even with my 50% discount i felt robbed. The only dish i would recommend is the nachos, 9⁄10 for that. Nevertheless, i wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone

I visited the Bandar Sri Damansara and Jaya One branch and it’s some of the coziest café’s i’ve seen so far. I visited The Morning After with a group of friends and this café is definitely a great place to eat with big groups or even with the family. I used to be a regular customer here in this café in the Sri Damansara branch and every time I visit this place, I am never disappointed with anything! Not the food, drinks and even the cakes. This place is simply just the best place to hangout with friends. The food here aren’t very pricey and I believe it’s definitely worth it. Both of the outlets serve great food and the service is really good as well. I just love the pumpkin soup here the flavour of the pumpkin is at the right sweetness. The egg benedict with salmon here is also delicious. The food here in the morning after always whips up a great hearty breakfast and always leaves you craving for more! Tea time here is also perfect! My personal favourite is their salted caramel macchiato! It’s definitely a must try when you come by for a visit! The cakes here taste fairly good as well.

What a provocative name for a coffee shop. All my friend and I can joked about before entering the café is so inappropriate. The café is dark. Really dark. It’s all painted black and the furnitures are neutral colored. Good thing they have big window panes to allow ample light to enter the café. Staffs are so so. Not really friendly and I find them slow and unmotivated. We found a spot with plug point because my friend needed to work. There’s wifi but it isn’t smooth. If you have your own connection, rely on that instead. Coffee is just alright. Not the most amazing one and I definitely will not return less there aren’t anywhere else to go to.

As I’m a fan of all things that are breakfast related, I decided to give this place a go when I was shopping around in Jaya One. Little did I know that they were a pretty established café with three other outlets. Rarely do cafes in KL serve anything with corned beef in them so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this on the menu. The only other place that I know of that serves corned beef is the Good Batch in Damansara Uptown and G3 in Bangsar. S of course I ordered the corned beef that came with potatoes and a fried egg. Definitely a winning combination. I also ordered my usual Mocha but it really wasn’t anything to shout about.

I sometimes go to The Morning After for tea as an alternative to Salt n Koffie which is just opposite. I find that is definitely less crowded and quieter at that hour. And it seems that there are other patrons just like me, looking for a quiet place to study or be on their laptop without distractions. The waiters are really nice and on the job. I forget their wifi password every time and every time I ask they are so willing to write it on a piece of paper for me.(Which I will eventually misplace again). I always have their pumpkin soup and cheesecake with cup of earl grey for tea. The soup could have a little less salt but I think that is a personal preference. But I just love chewing on the bacon bits in it. The cheesecake is creamy and rich, perfect to have with a cup of tea. I would say that I come here less for the food but for their spacious dining space. For some reason most cafes aren’t well lit but the opposite could be said for TMA. There is plenty of natural light pouring in which gives of an airy and chill vibe.

This is not the first branch of The Morning After. However, this is the first branch I have been visiting. The Morning After has joined Jaya One in the late 2014. Located nearby The School main entrance, with it black-themed design, almost every passerby will take a look into The Morning After. The Morning After not only serve cakes and coffee, they also serve breakfast. Sadly to hear that, my colleagues said the breakfast were not satisfying. I went The Morning After during teatime to grab a piece of cake yesterday. I was attracted by the name of «Chessy Does is Cheesecake?». So no doubt, I took that for myself. Okay, this is a cheecake. Initially when I looked at its serving, I was thinking, «Oh, why is it so small?» But then, I was full after eating the entire serving. It was creamy and greasy. Luckily it was in slightly smaller serving. However, I love its texture very much. If not mistaken, the crunchy base was made by cookies. It tasted unlikely to butter biscuit, so, I guess it is cookies? The crews were polite when I first entering the shop. He would like to lead me to my seat, but since I only want to take away, I told him need not to show me the menu. I only wanted to take the cake. Overall, The Morning After is a «okay» café for me. Except cake, I didn’t try other food. Maybe I should visit them another round. Let’s see any other food I can recommend.

I really liked the design of The Morning After — simple black and white with atistic paintings hanging on the wall. It’s very simple and it gave me a very Parisian feel. The café is spacious, and they offer both indoor and outdoor sittings. My first visit was with Joe. We went there to try out their coffee. Sadly, that wasn’t a good experience for me. The service was slow even though there were less than 5 customers, and we waited quite some time for our coffee. My second issue was with how they handled my coffee. We enjoyed watching the baristas working their coffee, so we chose a seat which have a good view. Gosh, now I wished we did not choose that seat! I was very curious what took them so long to prepare my coffee, since they have already served Joe’s. So I took a glance at the barista, and saw he was holding on to my coffee and chatting away. I’m not against«work and chat», but I just hoped he did not put my coffee on hold while doing that. As for the coffee, it was pretty mild for our liking. After the first experience, I decided to wait for a bit before going back the second time. I believe in giving people benefit of the doubt. Having thought that all their misses due to the café was newly opened, my friend and I went back there for their breakfast menu. Unfortunately, it was another negative experience. The bagel was clearly pre-made(it was tough too) and the sides weren’t too impressive. The breakfast doesn’t come with coffee, so we had to order them separately. Overall, I think there are still space for improvements. Would I be going back there again? Nah, probably not.
