Pasta Zanmai is an affordable fusion Japanese place that serves quite a variety of food like pasta, pizza, rolls, rice sets. You have to try their pizza here which you may choose between a small and regular size. Go for the regular size since its more worth it. Their pastas are also pretty good and lighter than your usual western ones.

To those who loves to try exotic food you should go to Pasta Zanmai. Exotic taste combining Italian & Japanese cuisine. But I think it, is more to Japanese style .Been there few times, I tried the carbonara spaghetti. Sometimes they sprinkle seaweed flakes to give the Japanese flavour. I love their okonomiyaki too, Japanese style pancake, malay style murtabak. The ambience and the smell also so Japanese .If you want to buy ingredient imported from japan they also have small shop infront/next to the restaurant.

When I was in my senior high, my god uncle would bring me here for lunch sometimes ever since the very beginning of the branch here in Tropicana city Mall. Unlike any Japanese restaurant, Pasta Zanmai offer magnificent sets for the consumers and they have been hype ever since. As the time goes by, their food affected and deteriorated. Maybe because of their outrages competitors, I mean anyhow. They just simply couldn’t maintain their original state. Yet they are a few recommendation that I would like to suggest which are still considerable. Besides, I would go for their any sets that include Japanese pizza. There are only two sets and both of them taste utterly delicious. Plus, with a twist they are different from each other.(Both cost RM25 for a set) and that’s about it! Other than that, they serve standard like any Japanese cuisine. Sushi are just okay. Not too special about it! As for their interior, they decorated modern yet classy Japanese style which I think is pretty cool. and only this branch you have the privilege to experience this kind of interior design. Cozy !!! Overall, It’s an average experience here at Pasta Zanmai and I wish they could remain their original taste as before.
