The Social | Bistro & Bar

I have safely concluded that, while the one in Desa Parkcity is reserved for family outings during broad daylight, this Social in Publika is designated for me, my husband and all our adult friends. At night.
The atmosphere is fun and lively, and the drinks (don’t miss the happy hour deals!) don’t disappoint. The desserts are irresistible — their pavlova, apparently their specialty, is heavenly. Hungry? Try their nachos and keep drinking.
The service could be slow, and I have helped myself to water as the waiters seemed too busy to come refill our glasses, but they are friendly and cheerful.
Looking forward to another date night and eating that pavlova.

4-​stars for the RM21nett beer when it’s happy hours! Publika mall being one of the places I hang out quite often and The Social Bar would be one of the bars that I spent most happy hours at.
Not just a bar, they also serve pretty okay good and their satay had always been one of the ‘atas satays’ that I like. Not entirely cheap, but at least it’s worth the price I would say.
They do have a-​okay wine list here too, do not expect something too extensive but good enough for a bar like theirs.
They do have outdoor area as well, which is pretty comfy when you are just having a catch up session with your friends after work.

Been here for a high school reunion of my boyfriend with his classmates at the social, it was a really nice place to have a nice beer with people you want to chill with.
I highly recommend you all to try out their Bolognese pasta and Caesar salad because they are the major yummers I had tried so far. The minced beef Bolognese is the best one I ever had. The portion is satisfying.
For my personal review about this restaurant is I think this place is more preferably to enjoy a beer instead a meal. Awesome place to chill out but not really for a dinner with family.

One of the most popular hangout spots in Publika, this modern bar is often packed during lunches and after office hours, do expect a mixture of contemporary crowds. Predominantly colleagues /​friends for a post-​work drink; or even businessmen taking their clients out to chill with some beer and a game of pool or two.
They have good deals at RM19.90 for a 2 course lunch set with a fusion selection from Char Kuey Teow, Nyonya Laksa to Pastas but its only applicable on weekdays. I have not tried their main dishes, but I really liked the buffalo wings, I thought they were seasoned well. Also ordered the nachos to snack on but I thought it was a bit expensive at RM20++.
Atmosphere is great, sitting outdoors allows good breeze and stage view should there be performances. The bar itself have good lineup of local artists at night on certain days but sitting inside with good view of the stage is limited.
Came here last Friday evening and shared a bottle of wine amongst friends. Past midnight, this guy came out with a basket of Nasi Lemak & asked if we wanted any. Overly excited (& silently starving) I raised my hand and said yes please! I’ve been to a pub in Plaza Gomac where they give out FREE nasi lemaks on Saturdays so I kind of assumed these were free too. But nope, it was RM4 per packet. Anyway, it wasn’t too bad.

Every New Year’s Eve, there is always one thing i look forward too — FAMILY DINNER WITH GOOD FOOD AND WINE! So we tried this place because
1) Near to the stage to watch entertainments
2) Great crowd
3) Great food
So my brothers as always order pasta since not very often we get to eat western food, and must i saw all the pasta i tried which is the carbonara, the seafood fettuccine, spaghetti bolognese is so GOOD! Many people say that pub food is not very nice but IT WAS FULL HOUSE! I am so dying to come back to this place again for the awesome pasta though one pasta ranges between RM19−30. However i would recommend you if you are coming with a big crowd do not sit on the high chairs because your table will be really small as soon as the big plates comes. NO SPACE TO EAT!
I am coming back here to try the meat next time! If you are looking for a place to dine and drink, this is THE place to come instead of KL area.
