This is an awesome place to spend a lazy afternoon. The drinks are good and the music is just top notch. Ahhhhhh what a way to spend an afternoon

For those who are always hanging out in the Bangsar neighborhood, The Social gotta be one of the most popular spots for a night out. You’d notice this when you’re there at night, and this is even when it’s weekdays, the crowd is always there. So, by now you should know that you’d really have to be lucky to get a parking spot, as you might not want to park in the shopping centre’s parking lot when it’s too late at night either. They serve a wide variety of Westerns to Asian Fusions foods here and for those who have sweet tooth, you’re lucky because they do serve desserts here as well, and they do so even when it’s late. So, if you need a sweet fix at night, this could be one of the places to head to as well! If you are looking for something lighter, their appetizer here are pretty attractive too and I personally appreciated the fact that they prepared the edamame beans to my order, which had them being served hot and comforting! They do have happy hours here(cheers), and they serve pint of Tiger at RM21 nett while it’s before 9pm, so for all those who had a long day, you’ve gotten the perfect reason to come here and wind down after work. For those who finish even later, fret’ not as they have 3 pints offer too. And, to say the least, I think their prices are pretty fair for a bar in this neighborhood. Besides beer, you could also check out their wine list! Another reason I think that’s drawing the crowd would be their three pool tables in the bar. So, if you are the pool games kind of people, what’s better than grabbing a pint and play some pools right?

One of my favourite weekend hangout spot In the city. Always full and packed with people, people rush over to catch on their happy hour drinks. I would also choose for the al fresco seating because it is more comfortable and airy as compared to dining inside the restaurant. Just my personal preference. To start on with our night, we usually order a plate of Nachos to share, nachos topped with guazamole, cheese and sour cream to die for. It always goes well with beer. We ordered the carbonara spaghetti, creamy, cheesy thick carbonara sauce to die for. It is one of the best carbonara I had around. Portion is actually good for sharing as well, if not one bowl of carbonara will really make you feel super guilty. They have a wide range of menu and I love how it actually have calories stated on every dish. Will definitely try other dishes the next time I am around for happy hour.

A splendid place to hang out and chill with friends or colleagues after work, The Social offers an extensive range of food and drinks, even lunch sets too. Give their signature crispy duck a try — shredded duck serve over housemade pancakes with a sweet plum & chilli oil sauce dressing and topped off with scallions and chopped cucumbers — it is a true delight in one sitting! They also offer sharing platters and small eats for groups of friends wanting to share some finger foods with the edamame beans, spring rolls and tandoori spiced chicken cubes at the top of my list. Other foods they serve include sandwiches, pasta and even desserts(try their fried banana fritters!) They have happy hour from 12−9pm daily and you get good prices on beer and wines at this time of the day. Other than that you can also get wines by the bottle as well as hard liquor & spirits if you’re feeling like having something a little stronger. With a great and cosy ambience, friendly staff and an extensive food & beverages menu, what more could one ask for? To top it all off, The Social also offers regular promotions which I’m a sucker for. I hang out at this place at least once a month, and you should definitely pop by for drinks and scrumptious finger foods if you’re in the area!

The Social @ Telawi Bangsar is one of those reliable restaurants that you know your friends could actually agree to hangout. One of those places where you can have lunch and/or dinner and it will always be full of people. If you like pecking duck then you have to try their all time signature dish the Aromatic crispy duck(RM35) which is shredded crispy duck served with small wrap pancake, sweet plum sauce and chili oil, with sliced spring onions and cucumber. On a lunch date with my sister, I had the chicken burger but it was just all right and didn’t care much for the crinkle fries What I also like about it is that if you are on a diet and you so happen to have a night/day out with your friends you can opt for the healthier option which they have at least one with each category and they even list down the amount of calories of that particular dish. The Social is definitely a hit for those weekend nights as they have a live band so better to have a reservation to get a good front row seat.

Last week, my girlfriends and I headed out to The Social for our ladies night. Social is located in Jalan Telawi(Right opposite Bangsar Village 2) and is quite a big and spacious bar. By the time we got there at 5.45pm, it was already filled with people and luckily we managed to get a table. The ambience at Social is very nice because of the dimmed lighting, good music, and candle lit on all tables. Gives out a really good vibe. We ordered a cosmopolitan, a game of sloanes, a mojito, a long island iced tea, chili cheese fries, and grilled chicken sandwich. The cosmopolitan wasnt very tasty as it tasted of lime and diluted cranberry juice. The mojito was not as impressive as it looked too. Tasted like plain ice water. However, the game of sloanes and long island iced tea was amazing and I will definitely go back for more. The cilli cheese was comfort food right there as it was a good finger food as well as a light dish to start off the night, The grilled chicken sandwich also tasted amazing. All the dishes and drinks served were presented well and aroused our tastebuds. As for the service, it could be improved as our waiter was not sure of many items on the menu. Aside from him, there was a pretty lady who I assume is in charge of PR who also took our order and offered us a membership there. The card allows us to collect point each time we spend and the points can be used to buy food/drinks. 3 of us signed up for it immediately Yay ! We also received Guinness card holders for free. The also have a pool table and foosball for you to entertain yourself while waiting for your food/drinks. I really liked this place and I see myself going there more often now. Check this place out !

I liked the social a lot, the ambiance the food, everything. The last time we were there we ordered the potato skins for starters and ribeye fajitas and a beef burger as the mains. Both were very satisfying and the beef was cooked perfectly, juicy and very tasty. The ambiance was really nice too, i like the layout and the song playlists that night was good too. Pricing is definitely on par with the ambiance of the place and the quality of the food. It was a good night and I’d definitely go back soon to try the other items on the menu. Its a really nice place to sit and chill for hours, just so comfy and sets the mood.

It is almost impossible to have a night out in Bangsar and not end up here at some point for a drink. It is always filled with a nice crowd and the vibe is always well; Social! My favorite thing about this place is the drink specials. Sometimes the deals are really amazing and it is a nice change to the usual prices on Changkat. They have this deal RM60 for three pints of Tiger that is awesome. No wonder this place is packed all the time. The food is ok. They have a wide variety of western to local cuisine and it hits the spot for drinking food but I wouldn’t say it is the best place to get a proper dinner. Come here for the hang and the drinks and most nights you’ll be glad you you did. Everyone from young professionals after work to Tinder dates come here every night of the week looking to mingle.

One of my absolute favourite places to go to grab a quick drink and catch up with friends on any given day. It’s one of your run of the mill sports bars where the drinks are cheap(during happy hour) and the crowd is friendly. They have various smoking sections and one non-smoking dinner section. They also have a pool table with a sea water aquarium wall feature(I personally think the aquarium is put there to throw your opponent off his or her game.) There is also an outdoor space where you could just lounge and enjoy people watching or to just talk to your friends. The place normally picks up at 6pm onwards, before that it’s just your usual lunch hour crowd grabbing a quick lunch before running back to the office. The Happy Hour Crowd is also very friendly, I’ve made a good 5 friends since I first started to frequent there, we are mainly tied together by our love of beer(3pints for rm60.) To make things better, the food is good too, my personal favourite being the Nasi Goreng Petai and the Char Kuey Teow(if you, like me, enjoy spicy food, do ask for more cili potong.) All very laid back, all very fun. Did I tell you it’s my absolute favourite place?

This bar definitely reflects it’s name ! It’s always packed with people and they are indeed socialising ! :) It’s a really cool place to meet new people, because everyone I’ve met there is always very open for a conversation. Their food is nice, but it’s not a place for lunch or diner. It’s more of a hangout bar to enjoy good music and beer. It is pricey, but you will never find it empty, no matter if it’s Monday or Friday night, so I would highly recommend to reserve a table way in advance if you plan to go there on a Saturday night! But if you’re going there at a daytime, don’t worry, you wont have to fight for a spot!
