Pretty cozy ambiance, with a koi fish pond in the middle, and marble tables on the side — and of course, if you need to get some work done, they have long table at the other side, with this glass window panel allowing plenty of sunlight on your face. I love the space there! Royal Selangor visitor centre is usually filled with tourists, but even so, this café that’s located within it wasn’t too noisy at all times. While there isn’t a real separation between the visitor area and this café, the space is unusually nice to spend time at. They do have a wide selection of cakes here as well, including the one that really got my attention — Guinness chocolate cake — now who wouldn’t get attracted to that? Of course, apart from these choices that attend to those with sweet tooth, they do have selection of main courses too. I have only had their long black here, which was less than RM8, and coffee was decent. Overall, I am going to say that I’m pleased. Wi-Fi was fast, so it’s great if you need to get some work done too. Definitely coming back, even if just to meet up with some friends.

The place is styled to be modern, simple and elegant. The café is located within the Royal Selangor visitor centre. Occasionally, it can get very packed because the centre is frequently visited by busloads of tourists. If you are lucky to come at a time where it is quieter, it is definitely a very nice place to just sit and chat with friends. They serve good food though some options can be a little pricey. I suggest that you take advantage of your Meal of the day lunch sets. The meal of the day changes daily, so, you won’t get bored with the same old same old. The service is friendly though they can be a little slow if the place is very packed. Try their cakes!

The Café is situated inside the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre. Fully airconditioned, and next to the breezy garden, the Café providing a very pleasant ambience for nice breakfast, lunch, and tea time from 9am to 5pm. They have«Today’s special» everyday range from delicious local delights(I had prawn noodle today! ;p) to western dishes. You can order a main meal + Haagen-Dazs + soft drink at quite a good deal. Their pastries are great especially with the tea served in Royal Selangor signature mini melon teapot that worth few hundred ringgit that could keep up the temperature for hours. Once a while you will meet an old lady which is the Royal Selangor business owner mingling around at the Café. She always carrying around the signature melon teapot with the history book that is full her childhood memories, telling random visitors the great story of Royal Selangor. I suggest everyone to register at the counter and get a personal tour guide at your preferred language to bring you around for a «live» audio tour(it’s free!) at Royal Selangor museum and factory + workshop before visiting the Café. It’s a whole wonderful experience!
