This place is evil. I ve been going to s. wine since it opened and always ate the same thing(big breakfast, Vietnamese lemongrass pork, burger, ribs, sausage and mushroom pasta), then one day we ACCIDENTALLY ordered the Thai Barbecued Pork Neck salad and OMG what a revelation! So, most ppl think S. wine for western food but their Asian selections are killer. Only problem is the place is always full. Good service, good food, good coffee, so I guess that’s a good problem to have.

Lessons learned during my 6+ years working at Unilocal include: ALWAYS trust the local Unilocal CM when they’ve given an establishment 5 glorious stars. So thank you Alexander, for the outstanding recommendation. Moving on from the public outpouring of gratitude to the most important part of this review: the pork, of course! Who would have thought that such an on-trend, hip restaurant could be nestled in the back of a grocery store, in a mall no less? Well, as I was hurriedly led through the super lux, ginormous supermarket I realized S. Wine just had to be that good — based on the aesthetics of said supermodel supermarket alone. Once parked at our table, we thumbed through a menu full of designer pork offerings while we sipped on some champagne. How divine is it that you can pick up some bubbly from the supermarket and import it into S. Wine sans corkage fee? Brilliant, indeed. After mulling over the menu a bit, we decided to share the watermelon/pork belly/lychee salad along with an order of the Momofuku-inspired pork buns. This move was also brilliant: the perfectly tender pork belly’s richness was smartly offset by the clean flavors of the watermelon and lychee fruits. And the pork buns are genius, really… the braised pork, alongside pickled cucumber, is enveloped by the most pillowy buns. I secretly craved another order of these buns! For my main, I had the pulled pork sandwich(well, half) which was certainly satisfying though I wouldn’t call it memorable. But do you know what WAS memorable? Alexander’s pasta dish, the spaghetti carbonara. Admittedly, I’m usually not that impressed by pasta dishes as they tend to lean toward the uninspired(in the U.S., anyway). But this particular carbonara dish is everything. From the whole egg yolk to the delicately-sliced cheese to the generous bits of pancetta — this is an A+ pasta dish, and I will most definitely order it next time. Yes, I’m already envisioning what ‘next time’ looks like. Bravo, S. Wine!

Very good. For a restaurant attached to a butcher’s in a supermarket. Excellent selection of pork dishes from Asian comfort food to sandwiches and chops and pasta. So if you like your pork you could do worse.

Pork and wine, what a combination eh? S. Wine in Publika would be a good choice for this combination. Located inside Ben’s Independent Grocer in Publika, it might get a little confusing to look for this gem. We had chilli cheese minced port fries, bacon wrapped meatball, and pork knuckles. One of the best service here is that they do not charge corkage fees for wine bought from the wine cellar right outside S.Wine. The wine cellar has excellent choices ranging from affordable(RM79 for a bottle of Riesling to RM499 for a bottle of red). We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here in S. Wine, though their food leave more to improve. Pork knuckles was good, the rest was just decent — more to improve for the price that we pay. This will be a good place to come for special occasion(remember to make reservations), but definitely not for everyday dining.

Meh. In a world of overpriced food, this could rank the first. What might be a simple plate of fried rice(with slices of pork on it of course) could cost you three meals, and if you want to argue about quality over price, then you must be joking, because I am literally paying for the ambience, not the food. While their main courses, like their spaghetti carbonara, are tasty and savory to the mouth, it does not justify any of the prices listed there at all. That, and also the fact that it is located right after the non-halal section, as though the restaurant isn’t inconspicuous enough. That being said, swine is their thing, and their thing is the swine, so if you love swine, then you must love this place, because you will spend a lot here. A lot.

Located at Ben’s groceries in Publika, a restaurant that sells mainly pork dishes. The environment inside is pretty hipster. Let us move on to the foooood. We ordered pigs in a blanket for our appetizer. Juicy baby pork sausages wrapped with bacon. What can go wrong with bacon aint? Let us move on to our main course, the Sloppu Piggy Burger with Mexicana Pulled pork where it was highly recommended by our server with fries and coleslaw on the side. It was a decent burger, nothing much to shout out for. Next we ordered the Hainanese Pork Chop, where it was deep fried pork topped with traditional tomato sauce. For us it was delicious, the pork was juicy not too dry, with the sweet and sour tomato sauce that really opens up our appetite, worth trying! To finish off our dinner, we ordered a Bacon, Strawberry and Macadamia Sundae, sounds really interesting right? But I would not want any bacon in my dessert anymore after trying for one time. That will be my first and last bacon dessert.

Pork lovers! You’re in heaven here :) You’ll have a wide range of wine to complement your pork dish! Although some restaurants do have the same concept too, I’m emphasizing on this fact because they have a wide variety of wine choices that goes well with certain dishes. It’s a really nice place to chill out with family and friends. Really decent atmosphere with warm lighting and also nice music. Great date night location as well! :)

Pork, pork and pork. That’s the only thing I remember. I am not a person who loves pork a lot but went to check this place out with my grandmother, my mother and my aunt and a family friend for lunch. The dishes served was authentic. I ordered the Hainanese Pork Chop but what I remembered most is the S. Wine House Salad due to the bacon which is present inside. The salad is one that I will recommend besides the main menu.

Been to this place few years ago but I can never forget the taste of their WM Pasta A La Carborana, it was my first Carborana with half boiled egg with it, never knew it would turn out so well! Because their main meat is pork so I was wondering what I can order after having their carborana, so I ordered their Scallop Bacon and Sloppy Piggy Burger and one thing I learned about fresh pork meat should still have pinkist color still on the meat although you have fry pan it until it fully cooked. so don’t get it wrong that its still raw! It just means that the meat is super fresh! even their dessert has bacon which is Bacon, Strawberry & Macadamia Sundae that worth you a try!

This is by far the only five star rating that i have given, and i have to proclaim that this is my favourite favourite restaurant here in kl, one reason being they serve good food, another reason being they serve good food, and okay, come on, they are doing serious business here serving you pork! You can get from pasta to Asian cuisines to fusion cuisines here. And yes — they serve bacon in sundae here, feeling adventurous and want to try already? I always like their carbonara pasta here, really rich and creamy! And they actually give you big chunks of meat here — i call that satisfaction. On top of pork, they actually allow you to buy your own wine from their wine section right outside the restaurant which is part of the big supermarket and drink it there with NO corkage charges! Hmm, wonderful aye? Also, you can pick your own meat from the supermarket and yes, they cook it for you right there. Imagine picking the perfect parts that you want? A hah! Definitely going back again!

I went to check this place out with my parents couple of weeks back. I thought the ambience of the restaurant was very nice, hidden like a stolen gem in ben’s grocer. My family and I are a couple of regulars to the Ben’s Group franchise. But who isn’t these days? I had a red wine, the selection was pretty decent and you get to even get to buy a bottle of wine from the grocer and bring it to any ben’s restaurant provided that it’s from the Ben’s grocery store. I thought that was a perk as you got to broaden your wine selection. The dishes are pretty mediocre for my taste maybe due to the overwhelming buzz on the place that made me kinda bummed. Also due to the fact that it was pretty packed when I got there. So try avoiding peak hours when you want to check the place out!

Swine is exactly what its name is, pork, pork and more pork. The entire menu is porky, from pasta’s to brunch food to pork chops and pork burgers. I liked Swine because of the variety of food. We had an eggs benedict and a pork burger. Both were good and i enjoyed it. Swine may actually be hard to find cause its located in ben’s general grocers at publika. You have to walk all the way to the non-halal section, and hidden away you will see Swine. Prices are okay, and service is so-so. I probably would not be going back anytime soon though. I mean it was good and i enjoyed the food overall but i guess it just wasn’t memorable enough for a revisit.

When you think of S. Wine, you think of pork, lots of pork, everything pork! Which is obviously non-halal. Been hearing about this place since it open for business. But hearing about the long queue does change my mind of going because back then when I used to work in KL, I will only visit Publika after work. After work hour is usually the peak for the restaurant too. Hence, didn’t really get to try it. During weekend, I’ll avoid going into KL. Well, 5 days of day and night traffic jam is enough for a week. That’s why I did not manage to pay S. Wine a visit. Till one day, after I’ve stopped working in KL, my ex-colleagues decided to catch up over food. We finally made it to S.Wine. It was a weekend afternoon(late afternoon). The off-peak hours, no queues required. Thank goodness! We get to enjoy ourselves chit chat away over S. Wine’s delicious food. Their food is indeed delicious. I had the pulled pork burger, my colleagues have the spaghetti and Thai style pork rice. It was porkalicious! A place worth visiting for pork lover.

S. Wine is my favourite place to have brunch because they do a good version of a fry-up. It’s one of the rare places in town to get properly crispy pork bacon. And they make their own pork sausages, which makes a huge difference. And the price is reasonable considering it’s good enough to share between two people. Their pasta carbonara is also really decadent, perfect if you’re craving a creamy, rich dinner. The only thing is, it gets pretty crowded at brunch time on weekends so you might have to wait for a seat. Also, once you order, you might have to wait for some time for your food to arrive. But it’s all worth it once you get the first taste of the fry-up.
