MPH has been the longest bookstore in Malaysia, and the one in Publika can be said to be one of the smaller branch as compared to others in Klang Valley/Kuala Lumpur. Personally, I felt that I will not be able to find the book that I wanted. This is because I couldn’t find it at the bigger branches. Well, I bit my own tongue and was proven wrong because they had the book that I wanted. The staff was kind enough to actually go through their massive database and to find it for me. I was pleased with their service and went on to purchase the book. Never judge a book by its cover. Never judge a store by its size.

It’s a rather small shop as compared to the ones in larger shopping malls. I love books and I love bookstores that are HUGE, so that I will have plenty of options to select from. Well, not that it’s not a good thing for a small shop because it’s definitely easier to manage, it’s just me being picky. International bestseller books are being sold in shop, that’s for sure, but I want to see more :) like all titles for books seemed limited here. Bigger shops can also include more stationery and gifts, so to some of the people who are not so much a book person, they can always scroll through these alternatives. Kids will also like to see more books with activities, so it will be great to have more! The good thing about this location is that once you buy your book, you can head next door for coffee, tea and cupcakes. Because Wondermilk and Plan B is just within a stone’s throw away. Of course, if you are staying near this mall, by all means you can always visit here. I live to malls that have a bigger MPH chain so I’m all up for the other options :)

When I first moved to Malaysia I thought it is going to be an issue to find a book in English and I never considered just entering random bookstore to find a good read. I couldn’t have been more wrong. this place has everything you need, it is really well organized and you can never get lost here. I really appreciate when I don’t have to waste my time on unnecessary things like stumbling and looking around. I definitely recommend this book store! It’s a gem in KL!:)

I would say this is a great place for books of all sorts, they are all categorized, making it easy for your references and shopping. They also have a good selection of magazines, local and international. I came here hoping to find manilla card for a college project but found out that they only sell them in bundles :(They don’t seem to have colored paper, or much things for DIYs. One of the staffs was very friendly though, he told me to try checking out another store(forgot the name) upstairs that might have it, instead of just brushing me off. I browsed through their pens too and they don’t have a wide variety too, mostly the more expensive ones. I guess it’s also a good place to kill some time as you can also see some people flipping through magazines while standing.
