La Cafe Memoire

Now this is a café that is not famous for its coffee but do not doubt its abilities in serving up fanciful grub at an affordable price. One thing that you will notice when walking in is how cosy it is bedecked with wooden boxes and even a bicycle! Even the food receives the same personal touch as the furnishings. Do try the Bacon and Mushroom Fettuccine as it’s a steal at only RM 14! We also had a tiramisu and bacon sundae to share, as we were told, the desserts and pastries are sourced from a third party. The cake was forgettable but the sundae topped with caramelised nuts… Come on, you could put bacon in a shoe and it would have tasted excellent. Salty, sweet and crunchy from the topping, the perfect combination for sure! If you are going to make several trips here (Why ever not?), do give the affogato a try. We didn’t that day, our stomachs couldn’t handle it but from what I saw from a neighboring table, it looked darn good.
