There was period when I would frequent BRJ a lot, especially after my morning weekend hikes. I think BRJ could be cleanest mamak in the area. In the morning though, it is very quiet. I like their maggi goreng here. It’s cooked well: not too dry, not too soggy. I would usually at a sunny side up and it’s comes perfectly cooked with the yolk only very slightly cooked. The drinks here are not too bad either. The adhere to the less sweetened(kurang manis) order which I do so very often.

Favorite supper late out eating spot in Cheras at BRJ Mamak. One of cleanest, fastest and good service mamak around Cheras. The food there is delicious as well. During football time, they will have a projector to project out the current football matches. The mamak will be Usually quite crowded at night. There is shisha over there as well however they open quite late. So if you were to be there for shisha be sure to arrive there at around 10pm. Ample of parking space around the area so don’t need to be worried on the parking spaces, windy and comfortable mamak. I personally prefer to order their roti canai empat segi as it is more fresh and not those that are ready made for a few hours already. Milo dinosaur to die for as well as their maggi mee goreng ayam.

I used to love this mamak so much because they are much cleaner than other regular mamak, although they charged at higher price. But I no longer love this place and here’s why. Service-yes we get it, you guys used high tech order system but so what?! The order is still constantly wrong or served late. ah neh always give me that look and refuse to send me ice kosong because it’s free. Food-used to be good lah but now okay okay only. Cleanliness-just the other day, we saw a huge flying cocky roaches landed on a poor guy shoulder and make him pop up from his seat and did some amazing popping dance move. BRJ is just lucky they are located strategically and have huge TV so they are still in the business.

Food 4⁄5 Likewise to all other mamak, unlimited choices of food available. In overall, I find the food’s quality is above average and it is well priced. They have side vendors for Otak-otak and Shisha. Service 3⁄5 If you go at non-peak hour, it is fine. Food arrives within decent amount of time. However, when it gets crowded at night /weekend, sometimes they might miss your order(although they have key-ed in the order via a connected tablet). Be prepared to re-order if the waiting time is peculiarly long. Location 5⁄5 Favourite thing about this mamak is its strategic location. Zero traffic issue and it is definitely one of the favourite mamak around the area. Note: Try not to order drinking water(both warm /cold) without food on a single order. This will easily piss them off. My friend did so several times and he ended up didn’t get his cup of plain water at all. Recommendation: They have good nasi kandar and fried chicken. Try them out!
