My husband and I stopped at Fish Bank for a late(1pm) lunch. We didn’t have reservations and had no trouble being seated, but I would suggest reservations if you’re going for dinner. In fact, I think we just got lucky getting our seat so easily. We were greeted with impeccable service: they took our bags and coats and lead us to the dining area which is set against large windows, overlooking the Shimbashi area. For lunch, we had three course options ranging from 1800¥ to 6000¥. You could also order off the a la carte menu(ranging from 1200¥ and up). I don’t have a huge appetite; instead I like tasting many things, so I opted for the mid-range course because I was intrigued by the lobster cappuccino(soup). This ended up being the perfect choice as the portions were perfectly small, and by the time I was served the main courses(tuna and chicken), I was ready to share my meat dish with my husband. For 3900¥, I had a sea urchin flan(my first time with the orange snail, and it was surprisingly delicious — but chewy), a salmon pâté(combination of sorts), lobster bisque served in a cappuccino cup, yellow tail tuna, bacon wrapped chicken and dessert! Everything was presented exquisitely and our servers were very precise in describing each dish to us. When our server chatted with us about our reason for visiting, we told them that we were on our mini-honeymoon since we had just gotten married last week. Next thing you know, they brought us dessert decorated with«congratulations» and candles. That was a very thoughtful gesture. I’m really glad that we were able to dine at Fish Bank. The restaurant was beautiful with a view of Tokyo. Service and presentation was superb. And the food was creative and tasty! If lunch was that good… I can’t wait to see what dinner is about!
