Come here ONLY if you want the EXPERIENCE. Did my little tourist research on some famous theme cafes and decided to give Alice a try. This place is kind of hard to find, it is in one of those big buildings with many floors, this place is on the 5th floor in central Ginza. The décor is super nice, you do feel like you are Alice and in a wonderland and the waiters are all dressed up. The waiter comes and walks through the menu for you. Each person HAS to order ONE drink and ONE food item and in addition you pay 600 yen per a person. Not going to lie, but I thought the rules was pretty ridiculous. My family and I basically had to force ourselves to order, but then okay that’s fine, but let me tell you, the food is not good… VERY disappointing. It seemed like an amateur made it, no words can describe how disappointing the food quality was. I honestly don’t recommend this place, I would try to find another theme café in Tokyo to try.

GREATEXPERIENCE!!! Go here at least once! If you are a Disney or Alice fan this is a must for you! But not only that, it is one of the best themed restaurants I have ever experienced. Nothing comes close to it in the US so you have to visit this restaurant! Thanks to Unilocal I learned it is hard to find and we did almost miss it because it is just a little sign amongst many large signs for other restaurants in the building! We couldn’t make reservations because of timing and not being able to use our phones in Japan, so we went right when it opened at 4 pm for a mid-afternoon snack. We first went to the location in another area of Tokyo but they didn’t open until 5 so we headed closer to our train station in Ginza and got in at 4 pm. No wait. It was awesome. Yes, you are greeted by a guy dressed as the mad-hatter and you get a selection of rabbit ears to wear! The hallway is neatly decorated as is the main dining area. You are greeted with a warm welcome by the waitresses dressed as Alice! I don’t know why people didn’t like their meals but I thought all our food selections were delish! They also bring you freshly baked bread and 2 spreads(one cheesy and one jam). We ordered wine for our mandatory one drink. We got a mango and lychee white wine and they were great, just a hint of sweet flavor but not as sweet as a dessert wine. We ordered two side dishes: veggie spring rolls and pineapple shrimp, both a cute presentation and both flavorful. All in all, totally worth the $ 50 dining experience for two and after we grabbed a little street food and we were good to go! Enjoy!

This place is definitely all about the ambience. I could see how people have a hard time finding this place, as it’s located on the 5th floor. We were greeted by a man dressed as the mad hatter. The entrance to the actual room was a storybook maze. It was pretty cool. And as you’re getting seated you’re greeted by Japanese versions of Alice! There is a charge just to eat here. So on top of the food, you have to pay like 600 yen per person. And there’s also a minimum amount you have to spend overall to eat here. We were prepared to spend a lot tho. The menu is a pop up box. It’s soooo cool. The food was TERRIBLE. We ordered sushi and it was just plain rice and avocado. No flavor at all. However, it was designed on the plate to look like a cute caterpillar. The pizza was mediocre. Nothing special about it. Very small portions. We also ordered the tea party dessert. They give you bunny ears to wear. The look of it was pretty. Very colorful and it was shaped like characters from Alice in Wonderland. Didn’t taste good tho. I didn’t finish any of my food. Again, this place is ENTIRELY all about the ambiance and atmosphere. I would never eat here again, but I also don’t regret trying it. We ended up ordering food back at our hotel. Just glad we got to experience it. It’s a cute place. Took lots of nice pictures.

This place was amazing. All of the employees are dressed up and all of the meals and drinks have a meaning to go along with the movie/book. If it were up to me I wouldn’t have chosen this place. My wife wanted to go here since she is a big fan of Alice. I’ve never read the book and I haven’t seen the movie and I hate«kids» things. I’m glad she chose this place because it was awesome. The food and drinks were all delicious. The staff is incredibly nice. There is a lot of attention to detail in the décor as well as the food and drinks. The food menu is in English and Japanese but the drink menu is only in Japanese. We just asked the waitress the name of the drinks and what was in it and she told us. She didn’t think she spoke good English, but she knew a hell of lot more than she thought she did. She was REALLY helpful. The menu comes in a box(like a puzzle) that opens out into several different menus. It is hard to explain exactly what it looks like without you seeing it. The portion sizes are small so be prepared for that. Also know that there is a mandatory service charge per person but this is common for«nicer» restaurants in Tokyo. I don’t remember the exact price for the service charge but isn’t very expensive, it was definitely less than ¥800 per person. The service charge gives you two hours of dining. This place gets really busy so they will start reminding you of how much time you have left as you get close to the two hours maximum time limit. Our bill came to ¥7938 which we thought was pretty good. This included one appetizer, two meals and four alcoholic drinks. Remember, the service charge was included in that. Throughout the entire evening you will hear scenes from the movie being played through the speakers, but it isn’t loud. The restaurant is very small so ensure you make reservations. Take a look at the photos(with captions) I uploaded for more information. This place was kind of difficult to find once we were in the vicinity. Look for the Taiyo building. The restaurant is on the 5th floor. If you are having trouble finding it look for the large Swarovski crystal jewelry store. It is across the street from Swarovski.
