A Japanese«Wagashi» sweets and snack store & café. If you are looking for a «omiyage»(gift) to give to a Japanese friend or to bring to a business meeting, Azabu Yasaigashi is a great option. Yes, those of you who has lived in Japan for several years already know, you are often obligated to bring«omiyage» on so many occasions. If you are true Unilocaler, you are measured with high standards, since many of your friends know you as the person who knows places. You don’t want to be caught bringing a boring Omiyage to someone’s house. And, please, don’t bring a huge bag of Doritos from Costco. Bookmark this place. Why? 1) Their snacks and sweets are quite unique. For sure unboring. As the name of the store suggests, the theme of the place is vegetable sweets/snacks. For example, their Dorayaki includes sweet potato paste. They have many dried veggie chips. 2) They don’t have tons of outlets(yet). As of fall 2015, I think this Azabu shop is the only one in Japan. This makes your gift cool. People will wonder where you found this omiyage. 3) Many of their snacks has a fairly long shelf life.
