Had breakfast in The Egg a couple of times. You would want to ensure that you go with an empty stomach as the portions are on the big side and the food is quite rich. It’s on the expensive side but worth it.

I have had breakfast here a number of times. Food is very rich and sausage a little too rich for a breakfast but still tasty! Service good and price is fair. Would go back!

They had no ice left at lunch time. The staff seemed unwilling to check if there was any in the ice machine. the cans of cola had just been put in the fridge & weren’t cold. Otherwise the food was good. They could do with a few umberellas on the balcony on a hot sunny day.

I’ve had breakfast here twice and each time was delicious. The scone is fab as are the pancakes. They’re quiet thick so I could only manage 1 and a half of the 3. They supply jugs of water with slices of lemon & Lime or mint and cucumber. Yum! It’s great for groups too. It’s a bit out of the way but a handy stop on the N7 and for me a good halfway point to meet friends living in Newbridge ;) As the Egg café is in Avoca I usually have to walk straight out the door for fear of wanting to buy all around me ;)
