Streat has been replaced by a costa coffee in the mill. Was a great place, cheap tea and coffee. Perfect location for anyone in Clondalkin. Wasn’t always the cleanest but I’m not fussy. Recommend highly

Our experience could not have been worse. Ordered a small hot chocolate for a kid, was given an enormous hot chocolate, after confirming 3 times that it would be possible to get a smaller size. Ordered toast — burned. And the worst yet — ordered a fruit of the forest smoothie that arrived much later than everything else, and was curdled and separated, and tasted revolting. Not of fruit, or forest — just bad. Asked the waitress if we could swap the smoothie for a coffee, and the response was«not a hope.» Not an apology, and certainly not any kind of customer service. Customers at next table were also complaining about the food and service. This is no way to run a business, and we won’t be going back again. Ever.

It’s 6 euros for my Christmas meal deal and it’s okay. It’s a ciabata bread with turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing mix, and spicy salami. The salami looks out of place, but it all goes together nice. I wish it was fresh– not microwaved and instead toasted properly. The sandwich also comes with a side salad and drink. The meal is alright healthy enough and filling. It was made in no time and the service was grand. I won’t suggest going out of your way to see this place, but if you’re at The Mill… sure, why not.

The food is bland and always seems dry. It doesn’t help that the main tool in the kitchen is the microwave. Far to expensive for what they offer. If you’re after a good sandwich, walk on by to McLoughlans Deli,

I so wanted to give this Café a good review as it is a welcome addition to an area starved of good coffee shops but alas no. I even went back twice to ensure that my experience was not a one off and unfortunately the service etc. was consistent in being poor. Staff left customers waiting while they finished their conversations and seemed disinterested. On my first visit I ordered the panini and soup special with a cappuchino. I was given my cappuchino and told to sit down and the food would be delivered. Nice touch I thought and happily took a seat. After 15 mins and having finished my coffee I went back to the counter where the staff are having a great yak to ask about my panini. There it was sitting in the toaster, sad and lonely and minus the soup. They gave me the panini and told me they’d follow with the soup. I asked for water to wash down my now tepid and limp panini and went back to my table waiting for the soup to heat up my now withering soul. 20 mins later and panini consumed I asked to speak to the manager who apologised and said he’d have the soup heated up and brought down. I asked for my money back as at this stage I’d been there for nearly an hour. The tables were unkempt, the staff flapping around with no real direction and my second experience was no better. Come on Streat get it together. Clondalkin needs you.
