Very accommodating staff! Super friendly and very forthcoming. We had our tables reserved as they get quite busy. Ordered starters and they were quite big portions, not to mention too yummy. We were about to order two desserts when we were told it would be too heavy so it is better to settle for and try for one more after we were done! Impressive right? Definitely coming back here! Dont miss the turkish coffee, it is a must!

One of the best Turkish restaurants I’ve been to. I am originally from Turkey and this place exceeded my expectations. Appetizers, main courses, desserts and drinks, everything was tasty accompanied by great service. Definitely going back next time in Amsterdam.

Schön eingerichtetes Restaurant– vor allem die Empore sah es von unten super aus. Wir sind hier relativ früh am Abend ohne Reservierung reingeschneit (das Restaurant war noch komplett leer, aber dank Unilocal wussten wir ja, dass wir mit unser Wahl nicht viel verkehrt machen können). Es gibt hier kalte und warme Vorspeisen– die kalten werden einem direkt am Tisch präsentiert und man kann sich hier direkt was aussuchen, wenn man sich unter der Beschreibung nichts vorstellen kann. Das Brot mit unserem Hummus war total lecker! Das Essen wird nett mit Teller und Brettchen angerichtet. Ich hatte mich für den Lamm Kebab entschieden. Es war auch echt gut, aber was uns richtig gestört hat, war, dass es im Restaurant rattenkalt war… man konnte sich gar nicht richtig entspannen.

Walking past this restaurant the aroma of grilled meat was amazing. Consulted Unilocal quickly as the place was empty. Endorsed! So we wander in and see that it looks empty because everyone is sitting upstairs. They bring a plate of mezze and we choose the hommus which is brilliant and the accompanying bread is perfect and hot and authentic. Good start! We order the grilled lamb in eggplant and yoghurt and a pide and a salad. All are fantastic but the lamb if outstanding. Go here, order away. Be very happy.

As a Turkish, it’s hard to find a restaurant that would match your expectations in Ams. Well, Ali Ocakbasi is answering our needs. They will first come with a big plate showing meze offers. These are little dishes to be ordered for the table and shared. Grill choices are all very good. For sure you should try raki to make the experience full.
Prices are decent, yet quite expensive if you start comparing with prices in Turkey:)

This was really quite good! We ended up here on a Friday evening after work and it was crowded.
They bring a huge platter of appetizers to your table and you can pick which ones you want — the stuff we got was really good (raw meatballs with cabbage, eggplant/​aubergine dip, and cheese with butter). The entrees were just as good too — I had the kebab trio, which had chicken, a ground lamb kebab, and skewered beef slices.
Great place, but prices are a bit high. Worth a try.

I woudl expect form a place in a such tourist area a mediocre food. But i am known for been wrong and this is one of the cases
The restaurant does offer real Turkish cuisine and really good service. I only popped to see some friends but i just could not resist to tap some food and that my downfall in the pit of gluttony begun for that night.
I just could not say no to all these amazing stuff they had on their menu. On top they were also playing Greek and Turkish music which definitely puts you in the mood for Some Raki.
I want to go again to be honest only to try more food. Goal for this restaurant is to go through the whole menu hehehehehehehe
