Best pizza in hope valley area! The sauce is the best! My dad and uncle swear by «bings» pizza. Super fresh veggies and cooked perfectly.

I have been eating at village my entire life. I compare all meatball and pepper grinders to this place. I could eat it everyday and stop in when I’m back in town for lunch as often as I can.

We love village pizza! Bing, the owner and his wife are so sweet! Their pizza is so good! They are happy to make it just how we like it! Lots of extra cheese! There’s a reason why he’s been in town for 40+ years! Our favorites are the meatball & onion pizza, basic cheese, extra cheese, or pepperoni with extra cheese! The crust is so good! We also love the meatball & pepper grinders! The only time I was ever unhappy with village pizza was once when I called and they weren’t open yet haha

Strictly pizza and«grinders». Wine and beer available. The pizza is on a biscuit texture dough, similar to Pizza Hut. Definitely not NYC style. Rolls for grinders were bagged, not freshly made on site, as mentioned in another review. I had a meatball grinder with«pizza cheese». It was okay. My daughter had plain pizza — it’s only available by the whole pie. The key for the bathroom is no joke. Décor is really a hoot. Someone should call a «Mad Men» location scout.

The section through CT and RI is really difficult for people who hate the taste of fast food and are traveling down the coast. Stopped at Village Pizza on a recent trip from Newport and was very happy with Bling & Maria’s product. Shout out to Daniel D. for the review; without it we would have never stopped… yay Unilocal! The place is straight out of the 70s. The soda machine is a little odd but whatever. My favorite part is the giant golden dolphin statue in the middle of the restaurant. I pulled in here looking for awesome homemade food– a giant golden dolphin statue is just an added bonus. I split a $ 7 cheesesteak with my Dad. It came about 10 minutes after we ordered and was positively delicious. The best part was the roll(made in store) as it was extremely fresh and fluffy; believe it or not it was still warm from the oven! Our steak was cooked in a small tin pan in the pizza oven so it was very different from the super greasy fried«Philly style» steaks I’m used to. I would say it was a much leaner, much healthier(if that’s possible) way to cook a cheesesteak. The fresh onions and peppers were along for the tin pan pizza oven ride and were cooked to perfection. Delicious! Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I wish them the best of luck. I’ll stop by on my next trip up to Newport for sure.

By far the BEST pizza around, everything is scratch made by two artists, Bing and Maria! We have been going there for 30+ years and have never had a bad pizza or experience. Yes they are cash only but you get what you pay for. If you want cheap trash, than look for a Subway, if you want the best pizza then go here.

Nice little pizza place, reminds me of how places used to be before chains came along. Very basic menu, we just had a pepperoni pizza, but it was good. The dough is fresh made, hand cut slices of pepperoni really let you know it’s made to order, not pre-made or prepared ahead of time. We didn’t have to wait, dinning area was just the right size, wasn’t too busy. Most locals must order to go. There were two highchairs that are just a bit out of date, with wheels that don’t lock, if you have infants or toddlers just a heads up. Yes it is cash only, but there are plenty of nearby ATM’s. Yes there is a vending machine for drinks, no juice for our boys though. My husband got beer & was happy. Yes there is a key for the restrooms, I can’t blame them would you want to spend all your time cleaning those or taking orders to run your business. My 4 yr old twin boys used them a few times, we had no problems, you grab the key, open door & use the facilities. We were camping nearby and just wanted simple eat & go pizza anyway. Nice little Mom & Pop business, just low key & simple. Joseph L., maybe you need to find a Papa Ginos or Pizza Hut next time, so sorry if local New England shops aren’t trendy enough for you, maybe you should go back to Cali. I’ve seen your other reviews, maybe you need another hobby because it appears that reviewing every business you come across is in need of your approval. Yeah, not so much. Daniel, thanks for the review, it really helped us find a place when we were away from home. Bing even helped us find the nice little icecream shop down the road Lickity Splits, good icecream & service, very reasonable prices. It’s really helpful when locals share some of the hidden places visitors might have not noticed.

Welcome to Village Pizza, I’m nominating myself there unofficial spokesperson. Here’s the slice, the Greek husband & wife team, Bing & Maria having been serving pizza in Richmond, RI for almost 40 years. My favorite is Pepperoni & onion pizza, the meatball subs are good also. All ingredients are fresh(exception is canned mushrooms) They do not offer table service but the do have really great prices, soda is from vending machine, they also offer snapping cold beer. They were the first pizza place in town & they are the only ones I get pizza from(except mondays when they are closed) then I go to Little Country in Exeter, RI. The place is always clean, they only accept CASH not a big deal there is a bank atm directly across the street. Telll them Danny Dove sent you :) Enjoy

I pulled off I-95 late afternoon on a Sunday on my way to Boston. I was looking for the Subway sandwich place, but thought I would give this local place a shot. What a weird experience. The place was eerily empty, and signs up saying«restrooms for customers only» and I am thinking to myself«What customers?». So I order an eggplant hoagie and I ask for a coke and the lady at the counter points to a vending machine. Okay, no soda, just a sandwhich… sitting at a table now and of course I have to use the bathroom… so I go to the mens rooms — and it is locked. I hear the old man behing the counter now shaking a chain and I walk over and he has the key on a chain attached to a frisbee. No kidding. Nothing like washing your hands clean and then touching a key and chain that hundreds of other people have brought to the toilet with them… it really worked up my appetite. Price was good and food was good… get it to go… or go to Subway…
