Kingston Pizza

My family has been ordering from this location for the past 7 years. By far the best Kingston pizza and the best pizza in the area. They are the only place in town that cooks the pizza til it’s done. Always delicious. We love the thunderbird or the couch potato, and we always get a free small cheese.

I have ordered several times simply because they are one of the only places within delivery range of my apartment.
The pizza is almost always burnt but when it’s not burnt it’s not bad. For some reason this establishment’s drivers don’t understand what a 2^nd floor apartment is. They’ve been here several times yet I always get a phone call from a confused driver wondering where to meet me despite very clear instructions over the phone. I can get over this though, as I have several times. I leave a good tip and call again in a few weeks. However, I am now done with Kingston Pizza.
On very rare occasion I will have to leave my apartment to go to work (on-​call ²⁴⁄₇). When this happens I call Kingston and let them know there is money on the staircase or if I paid via card to leave a $ 6 tip. Last time I ordered i left the tip in advance on my card (just in case). I did not get called to work and after an hour I decided to check for my food in the hallway. Turns out the driver never called me. He/​she just knocked on the WRONG door (again), no one answered, and then left my food outside IN THE RAIN. Unbelievable. I called to complain (once I had discovered my food while walking my dog) and we agreed my next order would be free (same order of course). Today I ordered my free food and left a tip for the driver despite the confused phone I got upon his arrival (again). Mozz sticks were good but my pizza was completely burned, bubbly, and dry with little to no sauce. I’ll be posting a picture as well. If you’re in the Richmond/​hope valley area, order K&S Pizza. It is far better food and service. If i really want to give Kingston another chance I suppose I’ll order my food ¾ cooked according to the other review.

We have ordered several time from this location of Kingston Pizza and have learned to request our pizza to be cooked ¾ the way. Otherwise the food is always over cooked, when the cheese gets brown and crispy it is over cooked.
