I don’t even know where to begin. We ended up at Diva after having dinner elsewhere and wanting to try something new for dessert. The weather was iffy so we Unilocaled desserts within close walking distance and found Diva. Considering the reviews we figured it’d be a no-brainer. We were sadly mistaken. We were greeted by a gentleman who opened the door and welcomed us. Before we could get 2 steps in we were directed by a woman to either sit by the desserts or by the window. All of the seats were taken at a very small bar so we opted for a table the window. Other than the 5 patrons at the bar there were about 4 – 6 other people in the establishment when we arrived around 9:30. I say this for a reason — they close at 1:00am on Saturdays. Keep that in mind. We were given menus and asked for our drink order — immediately. I asked for water while I reviewed my options and my BF asked for water, as well. However, mid sentence, the server walked away. Our waters were delivered and again, we were asked what we decided on. Nothing yet. Still taking a look at what you have to offer. We barely made it through the wine list but decided on something quick so we’d stop feeling rushed. The BF had to repeat his order and I excused myself to the restroom. While I was gone, the server then came back to the table and asked what we wanted to eat. No joke. She was hell bent on getting us out of there. Again, they close at 1:00am. I would never, ever show up at a place right before closing. It’s rude and seriously not ok. Since we hadn’t decided on dessert yet he asked to wait until I came back and made a decision for myself. Our drinks were at the table when I returned and of course, his was wrong. At this point, there was no use in sending it back. The wine was decent so he kept it. Not being able to decide between 2 things we asked for a recommendation — which was HAPPILY given; to the point where we’d have it or else. Lucky for me, her recommendation was something I was already looking at. The BF got the other. Best to play is safe. My banana cheesecake was served in «bites» wrapped in a dough then fried. They were not greasy, not hot. and the center was still cold. I do not know how they did that but the flavor was good. Subtle banana flavor, not too overpowering. It was served with 2 scoops of store-bought carton ice cream. I know this because the«vanilla» was white flavor — not vanilla at all. The other dessert was the caramel vanilla crunch cake and while it was spectacular to look at the flavor was lackluster. The cake was touted as a supernaturally light, but buttery pudding cake with a creamy custard layer and a sexy caramel finish. The cake was cold. Not room temp, fridge cold. So the cake was dense, the creamy custard was solidified, and the icing tasted old. Like when you leave something in the fridge uncovered and it absorbed other flavors — old. Not spoiled, old. It was just very off-putting. At this point, we already decided we would not return; which is sad because the young lady that worked there and chatted with us a bit was a true star. She was the highlight of that experience. I know my review is going to stand out because it’s not at least 3 stars and to be honest, I almost didn’t write it. I felt bad, «maybe they had a bad night», etc. but we were there less than an hour and felt like we had walked into a private party because someone forgot to hang the closed sign on the door. I have never felt(and been) so rushed in a restaurant. Upon leaving we agreed that at least we didn’t waste a dinner there. Unfortunately, I’ve since found out the owner was our server.

Good stuff! Props to the owners. It is rare to find single price wine tastings with good value. Most often you don’t enjoy your evening because you spend it just trying to get your moneys worth. All the staff did a great job. I’m on park ave all the time but never knew about this place I’ll be back.

this place its perfect, the food, the service, the wines the best. When, in winter park the restaurants closed early, the best place to end the night with the live music and delicious desserts. its Diva.

I haven’t eaten here yet, but it’s on my list. We had just eaten down the street and we were looking for a nice spot for a drink or two when we saw Diva and walked in. The interior is warm and comfortable, and when we were there a man was playing acoustic covers of music at the front — good, conversation-level music. We sat at the bar up front(there’s another in the back) and looked at the beer menu, which was a good size and had some excellent selections. It wasn’t long before we met David, who strikes me as the type of owner that wants everyone to feel like they are a regular, even if they just walked in for the first time(just look at the other reviews, I’m not alone in thinking this!). It didn’t take long for us to feel that way. He’ll be the first to tell you(and it seems he’s right) that once he pegs your beer tastes with one or two examples, he’ll always be able to find something you like. Pretty soon we were involved in an impromptu wine tasting with everyone else at the bar, while David talked in depth about the wine in between telling us a number of frankly incredible stories that you’ll be mulling over in your head for days, thinking«could that even possibly be true?» We had a wonderful time, and if it hadn’t been for a prior commitment, we certainly would have stayed quite a bit longer. As a matter of fact, writing this review brought it all back, so I’m going to go back there tomorrow. This time we’ll try the food, too!

Great staff, very helpful! Great food! Great prices… In Winter Park you expect to pay high dollar for very little. Here, you get a MEAL for a great price! Met the Chef, the owner, the mom and more! The PINK drink was really good! My only complaint… I was tooooo FULL to eat what looked like some amazing desserts! They have a great wine selection and many many craft beers! Check it out! You won’t be disapointed!

Supposedly, this place has been open for over a year. We never noticed it until looking up potential spots to take friends on an upscale bar-crawl. Turns out they just now got a sign visible from the street, so I don’t feel so bad. It had a crowd when we got there, so we had to sit at one of the 2 bars, which is fine, but the stools were very unstable. There were only 4-top or bigger tables, but I noticed that ALL of the 4-top tables had only 2 people, so it would seem to suggest this is a date night place that might do better with more 2-tops, so that so many do not have to eat at the bar. Menu was veg-friendly(didn’t notice anything vegan), but I would have liked to see a more options in the pasta section and something in the sandwich section. We ordered 2 flat-breads, but know that unless you are ravenous, 1 could be enough, as they are 12“x12″ squares. My brie and cranberry flat came out in a decent amount of time and was very tasty with my apricot beer(in a chipped glass). Our other flat took another 20 minutes to arrive which seemed like an oversight in good timing. It was a veggie flat and was also very tasty and a nice foil to the other, sweeter one. Made a light crack about the timing of the entrée arrival and the owner responded in kind that divas get served first. Our neighbors at the bar were leaps and bounds friendlier than the staff, which although not unfriendly, they were perhaps a bit distracted or pretentious… I don’t know, something seemed just a little off. Music was a nice volume to continue conversation inside, but seemed much louder through the speaker outside, but that’s an easy fix. We were too full for dessert and frankly weren’t intrigued enough by any of the selections to go for it anyway. For a place called Diva’s wines and desserts, I was expecting a bit more enticement maybe even by the staff, who I can’t remember even asking us anything about wines or desserts. Overall, I would go back to try other flat-breads. This is not a good place for a crowd due to the set-up and separated bars. Wish I could bring back the Dessert Lady and fuse this place’s dinner menu with their desserts and cozy atmosphere. Still in search of a warm coffee shop with cushy chairs to cozy up in a listen to local music.

I just loved the surf and turf flat bread! The owners were unlike a lot of businesses in Winter Park friendly. We only stopped to eat our ice cream on the cute little chairs one of the owners came out to talk to us and we placed an order. We will definitely be back and the price is right too!

Great and affordable wines and wonderful flatbreads! You are treated like family as soon as you walk in. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting and the staff pleasant and accommodating. Although desserts look amazing, I am not a fan since cold desserts are not my thing.

very sweet, family owned establishment. Turned me on the best steamed beer and red velvet cake. They are always friendly and willing to educate you on their wine and craft beers. Definitely get the margherita flatbread with truffle sauce!

Saved room for this place after a dinner at Prato. I opted for a liquid dessert(a nice port), but my son got an imported Italian gelato dessert called a bomba(chocolate and vanilla gelato around a cinnamon walnut cherry and covered in a chocolate shell). Ya, that was good! The husband ordered one of the house made desserts-some chocolate mousse cake gigantic thing, which he sliced into 3 pieces-one for himself, one for me, and one to take home. It was rich and delicious! But warning-you may want to consider sharing, because they are HUGE! The staff was extremely friendly, including the 70+ owner who brought us our decadence and chatted with us a bit. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable, not snooty or pretentious. People inside were chatty and friendly. I could see coming here all the time if we lived within walking distance. It had an almost neighborhood vibe. They also had a nice selection of flatbreads and other non-dessert foods that looked good from afar, so I could see coming back for a casual meal and trying more things out. All the beers are in bottles, but they had a hearty selection of micros, and are revamping the back are to be a type of «beer garden.» hopefully they will add some taps too.

Stopped here only for coffee and desert to go and we were less than impressed with the cake we had but were pretty disappointed with the coffee, specially after the nice girl there helping us went on raving how they have the best coffee… NOT! The coffee was straight up milk! The coffee got lost and the milk because we could not taste it at all. Maybe it was the girl who didn’t know how to make the coffee properly but ours was awful. This is not to take anything away from this place, it is very nice inside and the staff seems to be very friendly. The have a beautiful array of desserts and makes you drool and the regular food menu had some stuff that sounded good. I will be back and give them another shot at the coffee and a different dessert and maybe try some food.

Passed by this place on our way to dinner and wine and dessert definitely got my attention. We ate at another place and saved room for dessert at this place. For what i read they serve tapas and flatbreads. too bad i had already eaten. we wanted a sweet dessert wine. We asked for something sweet and our server definitely read our minds. we got a bottle of her suggestion and we asked about desserts. she recommended the red velvet and my wife had to have it. it was their last one :) We went on a saturday and they had live music. i don’t know who was playing but it was definitely a huge hit. nothing better than live music wine and dessert. thats my favorite combination. i’m very hard to please as you can see by my other reviews and i don’t go easy on places. honestly i can’t thing of anything bad to say about this place. the staff is extremely friendly. the owner and his wife both say hi to us and the atmosphere was excellent. The prices are extremely generous. there is no corkage fee and if i had room i would of gotten more. i’m putting this in my favorite’s list.

My husband and I were walking down Park Ave the other night and a sign for Diva Wines & Desserts caught our eyes. After dinner, we stopped in to check it out. It was a Saturday night so there was live music. We checked out the desserts which looked amazing so we sat down on a cozy couch in a corner. We were greeted by a young lady with curly hair(sorry can’t remember her name) and she asked us about what we like for wines. She brought us a small glass of red sparking wine to try, which was delicious. We ended up drinking the bottle. We also shared a slice of red velvet cake which was amazing! My husband saw the Jack Daniels cake and wants to come back and try it out. This place is really cozy and cute. They have a couple tables, as well as outdoor seating. If you love wine, you have to check this place out. And if you love wine and dessert, this place is perfect. I definitely recommend Diva and will be returning.

My husband and I were enjoying an afternoon stroll along Park Ave. We were getting ready to leave the Avenue when we came upon a man putting out a sign advertising Diva Wines & Desserts. I approached him and asked him about his place. He started talking to us about trying some wine and the next thing I knew he got us to ditch our downtown dinner plans. We ended up following him to his wine bar for some tastings. Diva Wines & Desserts is located off of Park Ave on Morse Blvd. The sun had just set, so as we walked up the storefront was a glow and you could see inside. The space consists of a nice bar, a few tables, rows of wine and some treats on display in the back. During our visit we tasted a number of delicious wines. David the owner was very knowledgeable about the wines and it was fun to learn about the people behind the wines he sells. We did enjoy the wines we tried, but next time I might be interested in trying one of their Craft Beer Flights. With all that sampling we needed a bite to eat. We got a tuna salad plate that was wonderful. We also sampled some pizza David’s son had made. We couldn’t leave without some dessert. You just can’t beat chocolate and red wine. It was a great way to end our night. Diva Wines & Desserts usually has a tasting of some sort every week. Check out their Facebook page for more info. You’ll also find some live music from time to time as well. The evening was a wonderful experience. We got to try some great wines, eat some good food and have lively conversation with other guests. Diva’s is a great spot if you’re looking for something a bit more intimate and you enjoy engaging with others; and to top it off you’ll walk out learning a thing or two about wine.

A friend and I were supposed to be down on Park Ave«exercising» but instead ended up finding Diva’s and enjoying a beautiful glass of red and a decadent dessert. Classic. Diva’s is a cute wine bar with flatbread and appetizer options if you’re feeling peckish. Amy, the owner, was there and very attentive and friendly. She gave us several wine samples based on what we liked and suggested a dessert to suite it. We were so pleased! We had a malbec with the toasted almond cake. The cake, and all other desserts, are made by them daily, and was served with fresh berries. It was a delight to talk with Amy and her husband during our visit and by the time we were finished with our wine and dessert, everyone at the bar was talking like we’d known each other for years. Diva’s is a definitely a place I’ll be making a regular visit to!

Great little wine place/café to hang out with your friends on a lazy Saturday afternoon. The staff(I think it might be family owned and run) is extremely knowledgeable about interesting wines and beers. If you sit at the bar, you can get a good sampling of some wines. Order a yummy flat-bread on the side to soak up some of the alcohol. There is a nice selection of desserts to try. It isn’t cheap to drink here but neither is most of Park Avenue. I think you will like this place to get away from the hustle and bustle off the main avenue.

Nice place for wine, located a few steps off of Park Ave on Morse Blvd catty corner to Croissant Gourmet and next door to Café 118. Why so specific? Well, the awning still has a very large«Lets Eat» logo and my friends walked by it 3 times before realizing Diva was there on our recent outing. :) A small wine bar, several high tops inside, 4 tops outside and a few cozy chairs leave you plenty of options to sit and stay awhile. The racks are jam packed with many selections for the space that they have. The menu has been recently revamped, offering various flatbreads instead of tapas. Also desserts.(Hope they add a cheese plate!) The flatbreads are made with the cracker style crust, brought in. They are offered in personal(10′) and sharing(14″) and priced accordingly. Menu descriptions are great, there are no surprises. I ordered the Gorgonzola pear flatbread(pic) which was delicious. Good balance of flavors and hubby really enjoyed the leftovers that came home. Friends ordered the BBQ chicken flatbread,(pic) which my friends said was good– but they said the flavors in the Gorgonzola pear flatbread were better. We split the Caramel crunch cake(pic), which was OK. We’d skip it next time. Enjoyed the Helix Cabernet(pic) which paired well with our offerings. Nice selection of craft beers, no corkage on wines so drink up!

Cool new place to buy wine and beer, great beer selection most were $ 5, you can buy a bottle of wine in the store and drink it at the bar and no corkage fee, they have a lot of tapas type food, cheeses, tuna fish, crackers etc. A lot of unheard of wines. It’s just ½ a block off park ave so you might miss it, right next to café 118
