The food was absolutely fantastic. The owner recommended wine pairings that were perfect for each course. We attended the Valentine’s dinner and were blown away by the quality and taste of the entire meal. We’ll be visiting again soon.

I’ve been wanting to try the flatbread at La Femme Du Fromage since my last visit to East End Market, so I suggested we stop by for lunch on the way to the airport. I ordered the proscuitto and fig flatbread and my boyfriend ordered«Le Grand Fromage» grilled cheese, which is a 4 cheese blend with tomato, basil and proscuitto on garlic buttered bread. It’s a small operation and there were a few orders in front of us so we had about a 15 minute wait for our food. The grilled cheese came out first and was accompanied by a few apple slices. The bite I had was delicious and I especially noticed the flavor of the basil coming through. I got my flatbread a few minutes later and dug right in. Both items were fittingly loaded up with cheese although I was suprised that the blue cheese on my flatbread wasn’t as sharp as I expected. While I enjoyed the flatbread, I thought there was room for improvement. The bites that contained fig were really good, but there wasn’t a lot of fig overall(and also a lack of proscuitto). I’ve actually had a similar flatbread years ago in Georgetown that I’m still thinking about to this day that used a fig spread so it had a bit of the sweetness in every bite. I also would have preferred for the balsamic glaze to be drizzled directly on the flatbread instead of over what I think was arugula because it was a bit messy that way. Overall though it was a great lunch and I still want to go back and try the Dirty Elvis grilled cheese. Foodwise, this review would probably be a 3.5, but I’m rounding down instead of up because they only have 5 seats at the bar. On a nice day it wouldn’t be a problem to eat outside at the picnic tables but on a rainy day we were stuck squeezing into the one spot available at the end of the bar.

I was very turned off by the service I was offered here. I came looking for a simple spreadable cheese to eat with the Bialy I purchased from Old Hearth. The person who helped me was not very friendly. When I asked him which cheese would be best, he turned around and grabbed an apron without saying a word. I was confused and proceeded to leave. He then came from behind the counter and grabbed a very expensive cheese from the fridge. Without telling me anything about the cheese, asking me my preferences, or even asking if I was willing to spend this much on cheese, he unwrapped it and put it on the counter. He then took out a knife and asked me how much of it I wanted. You can imagine how awkward and forced I felt to buy this cheese at this point. I bought the slice anyway because I felt really uncomfortable. It was definitely not worth the $ 3 I spent and I left feeling unhappy. For a cheese counter with such high prices, I would expect higher quality service. I wouldn’t mind spending $ 3 for a slice of cheese if the staff treated me better, if I knew more about what I was buying, and if I were actually given a choice.

I love that they have so many epic grilled cheese options here, and who doesn’t like to stop by east end market to hang out and have a drink. Even if you’re grabbing a drink at the bar next to it, seriously grab a cheese tray to go with your wine flight!

So dang good. Go here. Earlier this year Tonda joined us Lady Crafters for a cider/cheese tasting and it was brilliant. She did a fabulous job introducing us to some great pairings. The marinated Feta is my new found love. I can NOT get enough. If you are a fan of feta, this is a MUST try as it take feta to a new level. All of the cheeses here are so very fresh and everyone is knowledgeable. You can try and enjoy all of their gloriousness there but more importantly, you can stock up and bring it all home. YUM. So happy this cheesy star is in East End!

This girl knows cheese! We stopped in East End Market to peruse the ‘shops’ and when we saw La Gran Fromage on the menu — I was sold. We were able to saddle ourselves a seat next door(Local Roots Farm Store) while we waited for our sandwiches to be ready. The mix of cheeses fails me at the moment, but I do remember it had basil, tomato and prosciutto in there as well. It was the perfect snack to get us through the rest of our day. This cheese lady knows her stuff. My husband loves cheeses and he had a lot of questions that she was able to answer for him. When he was perusing the case for something to take home, based on his choice she recommended two other cheeses for him to try. He must have liked them because he bought a small block of each. I was impressed with her recommendations as well. We had a cheese & cracker night when we got home from our mini vacay & they were tasty.

I am a repeat customer at this wonderful shop located in the East End Market because it’s so good that I can’t stay away!!! Tonda and her staff are extremely knowledgeable and have an amazing selection of cheese. I cannot recommend this place enough! From simply stopping in for a snack, having lunch, or requesting catering services, you can’t go wrong!

When you love food, especially Cheese as much as I do, you will be glad to find and visit this place. It is in the East End Market and just one of the specialty shops you will find. Whenever my mom is in town, occasionally we like to take a day to visit new places and try new things. I had seen this place in a few reviews, and had decided a while back to go, but never got around to it. At this cheese shop, not only will you find those hard to find cheeses, but also a menu using local ingredients. We decided to splurge and got the 5 cheese board with a side of the Charcuterie. The selection of cheeses we got were incredible! The pairings given went well, and the staff was knowledgeable when we had questions. Because the shop is small there is only 1 small counter with 4 seats to actually sit down if you want. Our Cheeseboard & Charcuterie included Mustard, Peach Preserve, Camembert triple crème, Sage Derby, Garrotxa a goats milk cheese, Beemster XO a extra aged gouda, Valdeon Blue which is a tyoe of Blue Cheese which uses cow and goat milk, honey, figs & grapes, crackers, and spiced meat. This was definately a treat, and we can not wait to go back again!

I found La Femme du Fromage and Tonda after searching for a local cheese shop right here on Unilocal! My search started when this Canadian transplanted in Florida could no longer go without her Poutine fix! Being that finding cheese curds in the sunshine state is equal to hunting for the Ogopogo(it’s a Canadian thing;), I decided to email Tonda and inquire if they carried cheese curds at all. She responded to my email immediately and told me they were out but she could order them in! We emailed back and forth for a few days and true to her word she messaged me and let me know as soon as they were in! The cute little cheese shop is nestled in the East End market, it looks like they have a variety of cheeses to choose from… but I was only there for one thing! Unfortunately Tonda wasn’t in when i went to pick them up, I would have liked to say Thank You in person, but I’ll be back! The curds were fresh, delicious and reasonably priced! So thanks to Tonda’s help getting cheese curds and my ability to get Poutine gravy online I was able to create the cheesy, gravy smothered Poutine I’d been craving right in my own kitchen!!! Now off to the gym! Haha

Because this quaint establishment is the real thing when it comes to a Co Op, I couldn’t help but love it. Not to mention, there is no sense of pretention… even with small plots of garden out front for the businesses to cultivate if they please. Can get cramped, but my friend and I sat here and had the tastiest mushroom soup and pressed fresh ham and cheese sandwiches. Made 3 feet in front of you with care and good looking ingredients, you know what you are getting, and the service is personal. So much nicer that a chain. You’ve got to try it.

Located within the East End Market, the cheese shop offers a great selection of cheese and charcuterie. We were waiting for the seats at the sushi place to open up so we decided to have a little snack. We ended up ordering a cheese and charcuterie platter. We had them select the cheese and charcuterie. While they were cutting them up, I had them suggest a drink to go with it. I went to the next booth and ordered a yummy sparkling pear cider to go with our platter. The platter consisted of the meat, cheeses, and fruits, almonds, and honey. The meats picked were prosciutto and a nice peppery salami. The cheeses were goat cheese, manchego, and Gouda. All these were excellent and delicious. Definitely recommend this place and will be coming back for me!

I do not visit East End Market without making a stop at La Femme du Fromage. All of the chesses that I have purchased have been«best of class» and the staff has always been helpful when I am making my selections. If LFDF were larger, it would merit 5 stars without question. I am reserving a star in the hope that LFDF will one day(preferably soon) expand.

This is easily one of my favorite little spots in Orlando! The cheese is phenomenal, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere awesome. All of their cheese is super fresh and delicious. My favorite is the cow/goat cheese blend that soaks in olive oil(I can’t remember the name). This is an awesome place to bring friends for a light afternoon or evening snack. Tonda, the shop owner, is frequently here and will handpick your items herself. She is extremely knowledgable and explains things well and in depth. She also does classes that you can take where she will pair her cheese with wine, chocolate, or other things(usually around $ 30-$ 60 dollars depending on what they’re pairing the cheese with). In the classes, she’ll help walk you through what flavors or notes you’re looking for and how to pair cheeses with wine and/or food at home.

This place is so much fun — aaaand delicious. I’m a cheese freak, so I could eat this every day — for the rest of my life. Pascal, the gentleman who chose and created our tray was fun, friendly, and taught us so much about cheese.

This is a great place to learn about unusual cheeses. You can get a sampler plate and try out some new things. Of course the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Worth a stop when you are at the Market.

Tonda knows her stuff! I’ve been buying cheese from La Femme Du Fromage for quite a while now. I first met Tonda(Owner) at the Audubon Park Farmer’s Market at Stardust Coffee on Monday nights, and she has always been extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to share her expertise. La Femme carries an excellent variety of cheeses, especially now that they have a permanent location inside the East End Market. They also make some small dishes(pizzas using locally made sauces, a daily grilled cheese using gourmet cheeses and locally made breads, etc), in addition to custom built cheese platters(with fig, fruits, crackers, etc). I am a BIG fan of cheese, and La Femme is my go-to spot. Stop in and talk to Tonda for a while, and you’ll quickly learn why. Also, ask her about her wine/cheese and beer/cheese tastings, as it’s an excellent way to become more knowledgeable on the varieties and pairings of cheese and beverages.

This is located inside of East End Market. I purchased the chef’s choice 5 cheese selections which includes crackers and fruit and you can pay additional for charcuterie. I absolutely love cheese and she lit my eyes up with joy with filling my tastebuds with the most delicious cheese! As she was making my selection, she offers me tasting to see if I would like it before wrapping it up for me. I also told her beforehand what type of cheeses that I like(not a fan of the goat) and everyone she chose, I absolutely loved! My absolute favorite was the cambozola, which is a brie/gorgonzola mixture. If you have a thing for cheese, definitely go check this place out!

Located in the East End market, La Femme du Fromage offers a wide selection of cheeses not typically stocked in area cheese cases. Tell the helpful staff what you are looking for, and they’ll be more than happy to make a suggestion based on your flavor preferences. While I was waiting I heard the shop owner, Tonda, tell her customer that they are happy to assemble cheese plates from the rustic to the extravagant. Certainly a nice option with the holidays around the corner! There are plenty of items to enjoy at the counter or with other vendors from around the East End Market. Creative sandwiches, cheese boards and charcuterie have been available on my recent visits. At Tonda’s suggestion, I picked up a package of the Rosemary Parmesan wafers– they were delicious! I’ll be back for some of the biscuits she also recommended. Service was attentive, though I did wait a bit. I did find at the customer service given to each guest was equal– so my experience was quite nice. We loved the cheeses and I’ll be back!
