Came here for the first time! As soon as I walked in I was greeted. I stayed up in the counter for about 10 minutes waiting for a friend to arrive, while I was up there, no one offered to get me started or to show me how everything worked. After my friend arrived, we added money to our wine cards, and moved on to sit down, a waiter came up to us with the food menu, and made great recommendations on what we should order to eat. He never asked if we had been there before or told us how the wine dispensing machines worked… The ambiance is great, it feels intimate, but a great place to have a good night with friends, or a business meeting. I tried 4 different wines, and all were amazing! The selection is great! I loved that we can do a 3oz pour to try a wine too, we don’t have to do a full glass. I also really enjoyed that we were able to purchase the bottle right there! Very convenient! A great place to treat a friend on a birthday! Besides not being really shown how everything works, the experience was great, selection of wine perfect, and the food delish! I will defiantly be back soon!

Nice wine selection with a very neat wine tasting option. We enjoyed some charcuterie and they have a wonderful selection. The bartender made a nice recommendation on wine and we ended up leaving with two bottles. My only drawback was that we sat for awhile at a high top(that was empty but needed to be cleared and cleaned) for a little while before being greeted. We saw a young gentleman and the a manager(or appeared to be) doing other things but the bartender saw us and took care of us right away. He was attentive and very nice.

I love the concept of this place. It’s very easy to try different wines and they have a great cheese selection of you just want to find a spot to sit and relax and talk with your date and have a few samples of wine and munch away on meats and cheeses. Huge selection of wines from all over… even if you’re not a vino expert you can enjoy the atmosphere and learn about the wines they have available that night. Definitely a great date spot!

This place is spectacular whether you’re a wine connoisseur or a beginner. You start by loading a wine card with money and you’re given a wine glass. Then you place your card in whichever slot of the wine you’d like to try. There are 3 size selections of how big or small you want your glass poured. There are descriptions and names placed perfectly under each bottle to help in decision-making. Some wines are even chilled based on their recommended serving temperatures. And the location right off of park street is perfectly placed in the middle of other restaurants and shops. So this is the perfect place to stop before or after other shopping/dining. It’s a really cute place for a date. What women doesn’t enjoy being«wined and dined?» You can also order side dishes of cheeses and bread to go with your wine. And if you like a certain wine you even have the option to purchase a bottle. TIP: This place can get really busy towards evening times so I’d recommend going early if you want to be guaranteed a place to sit. I love this place. I love the concept and it’s really just fun!

This place is awesome! Aerated wine by the 1, 3 and 5 oz pours. Grab a card at the front desk for $ 3.50, load it with cash and try all the wines you’d like. Loved it. Great atmosphere, good for groups.

Gotta give Wine Room 5⁄5 stars for sure! It is the perfect place to go in and catch up with friends while drinking wine– something we all love to do! The vibe is very relaxing. Lights are usually pretty low. Seating includes high top counters/bars spread throughout as well as couches all around. Super comfy. I have told multiple people from out of state about Wine Room because it is a great place to go in a try different wines from all around! Prices are very reasonable and the selection is seemingly endless. Here’s how it works: walk in and get a card which you put a certain amount of money on. Then you find a type of wine you want to try. Insert your card, select the amount of wine you would like, then drink it! Very simple and very fun! There is also a menu with lots of different options of plates to munch on while you wine down(intentionally funny pun right there). I would suggest any of the flatbreads. Thinking back on the one that I had the last time I went is making me hungry– that’s a good sign! The staff has always been very nice as well. Whenever a wine is out, you just let them know and they’ll take care of it as soon as possible. I would highly recommend Wine Room to someone looking for a fun but relaxed night with something aside from the usual bar hopping and mixed drinks. Or if you’re trying to learn more about wines, this is definitely your go-to!

I have been to this location a couple of times now and I very much enjoy the atmosphere. It is a different set up as you put money onto a wine room card, are given a wine glass, and then you can walk around using the card to try different wines that are in chillers around the rooms. If you do not know if you will like a wine you can pay the lowest cost to basically get a small tasting serving or if you love it get the big serving :). This is also one of the only places in Orlando that sells one of my favorite wines, sangue di giuda, which you can find for sale at the front by the registers.

First time here and I’m not really impressed. They have a vast selection of wine, but the lack of service and the feeling that I am a bother to the staff didn’t make me feel welcome enough to stay. The concept of a pre-load card to try wine is interesting, but spending $ 1.50−5.50 to taste a Dixie-cup sample is disenchanting. The food selection is pretty nice. If I were to come back it would be to try the food, but for the price and the quality of service, I would most likely go elsewhere.

If you’re a «wino» this is your place. I have been here multiple times, it is perfect for a night out or even Sunday funday. They have a wide selection of wines to choose from, but I wish they had champagne. It can add up quick so I usually check groupon first before going. The meat and cheese plate goes perfect with the wine. Haven’t tried any of their other food but it looks great!

LARGERTHANEXPECTED – CHARCUTERIEWONDERFUL = I’ve only experienced one other ‘pour-your-own-wine-via-machine’(in nearby St. Pete, FL) and this place is probably five times larger with way more variety. Every type, price, and even the location to purchase bottles are clearly labeled. This is one of those experiences that be an excellent fancy, cheap date or easily an upscale blow-your-money deal. After a handful of tastes, I definitely found several flavors that catered best to my tongue. NONEEDTOWINE, THERE’S MORE! = A bar inside serves local craft brews(sorry, a bartender pours those for you) while wandering servers take your orders for small plates and build-your-own Charcuterie. The counter section is partially open for you to watch the staff lovingly assemble all the delicious components of the orders. SERVERSCANBEBUSYANDCHAIRSARELIMITED = On busy days it’s easy for the staff to forget to visit you in a timely manner – this is made more difficult since patrons are often wandering around trying Wines instead of being planted in one spot. Luckily they are very apologetic and eager to please. There’s plenty of counters and tables for gathering around but not as many chairs.

Yes, we have become fans… We were actually enjoying Winter Park’s scenery and walking around town when we suddenly ran into this place. We saw that they offered wine tasting and quickly decided to go for it. First off, you have to buy a card, for $ 5.00 which has a microchip and you keep for future occasions. You put«credit» into this card and select the wines you wish to taste or have a full cup. Their prices vary ranging from tasting a wine for $ 1.50 to $ 10.00 depending on the wine. All in all, this is a great place to hang out, grab a bite(they sell deli sandwiches and cheeses), enjoy the environment and even learn about wines. Staff member will help you select wine, if needed and will make suggestions. I was also told they offer wine tasting classes. We spent a total of $ 30.00(including the card) and each tasted around 5 different wines, including a port wine. Will come back!

The concept is awesome here. Get a pre loaded card and sample a variety of wines. There are several seating options and even a few foods pairing options. The down side here was service. My sister and I quickly noticed that everyone around us was greeted, asked if they needed anything, and given food options to order. We were there about an hour and not talked to once. I’m unsure if it was an oversight or not, but having tipped for service when buying my card for samples, it was a definite downer. Overall: B– I’d be interested in going again and seeing what round two offers.

My first date with my current boyfriend of 9 months happened at this very place. It could happen for you too! Haha, but in all seriousness, Wine Room is an awesome place to grab a glass after work, have a girls’ night out, or go on a date. From the moment you walk in, you feel relaxed, and you can be a wino for the night. It’s a genius concept. Located on Park Ave, it’s prime location. You walk up to the counter at the front, pay $ 3 for a card to load money on, they give you a glass, and then you’re on your way! There is some patio seating which is lovely on nice nights. There is also plenty of seating around high-tops as well as couch areas which are great for bigger groups. Dim lighting offers a cozy romantic ambiance. This is a place you can wear a dress and heels to, or wear comfy casual clothes too, and you’ll fit right in. You’ll see variations of attire. There are many glass cases lining the walls with labels of the types of wines within them. «France» or «Sweet Reds» or «Chardonnay» are some examples. Above each bottle is a description card explaining the wine, so you can get an idea of if you’ll like it. At each station, you insert your pre-loaded Wine Room card, and above the bottle of your choosing there is a screen telling you the cost of a taste, a half glass, or a whole glass. The prices increase as the glass size increases. The cheapest full glass is around $ 8, all the way up to very high-end prices. The tastes are around $ 2-$ 3. And that’s just the wine! The food options are PERFECT for a wine night. There is an extensive cheese list with different pick-and-choose platter options. My favorite flatbread choices are Pear and Brie with Mango Chutney as well as Apple, Crème Fraiche, and Blue Cheese. You can’t go wrong though. I could get a different item each time and love it more than the last. The service has always been solid. They will often replace your wine glasses if you’ve had the same one for a while, and servers are attentive if you choose to order food. If you haven’t checked this place out yet, add it to your list! It’s a must.

We have always enjoyed coming here. The location is perfect– right on Park Ave. Definitely a place to see and be seen! The way it works is you pay for a card(almost like a debit card) and you choose how much money you’d like to put on it. The establishment is filled with various machines that have different types of wine… pretty much anything you can think of from reds to whites to sparkling. You then insert your card into the machines and choose your pour amount… anywhere from 1 oz taste to a full glass. They also have a bar area with beers on tap, bottled beers, and wines by the glass for those who aren’t feeling so adventurous(or just aren’t into the card thing ;) Food– they have amazing cheese tasting plates, charcuterie plates, and awesome flat breads and light bites Seating– can be tricky. The building used to be a bank so they have a downstairs vault which is now a cellar that most people don’t venture into so it’s often empty and cozy(they also have great wines to sample down there as well)

Your ultimate stop for girls’ night out. Great for date night too. Seriously, The Wine Room on Park Ave has become the go-to place for my girlfriends and I to hang out. And what’s not to love? On your first visit you’ll purchase a card($ 3 one time) which you can pre-load money on. They you have the run of the place to try out any wine your little heart desires. Just insert your card and select the amount of wine you want(a taste, half glass or full glass) and the vino will dispense into your glass for your sipping pleasure. They have a many different types to choose from for any palate. If you don’t know what type of wine you like, this is the perfect place to figure that out by trying little sips of everything. I know what you’re thinking: «But Rebekah, what about the cheese? You can’t enjoy wine without cheese?» Well fret not. The Wine Room has a wonderful cheese list. For $ 10 you can select 1 cheese from their menu, $ 20 for three or $ 30 for five. I generally split the three-cheese plate with friends so we can get a good sampling. The cheese plate also includes breads and nuts. I recommend the flatbreads as well. Their flatbreads are quite good. Pro tip: Check Groupon before you go. Quite often they’ll have a deal going on where you can pay $ 34 for a $ 50 credit plus the pre-paid card. If this isn’t your first time going to The Wine Room(e.g. you already have a card) you can ask them to load the additional $ 3 onto your existing card instead. That’s $ 53 on your Wine Room card for the cost of $ 34! The best part is the amount on your card doesn’t expire. So, if you don’t spend if all in one evening, you can use it the next time you drop by.

My three star review is going to differ from my awesome Unilocal buddies who have rated The Wine Room 4 or 5 stars, but perhaps I’m doing it wrong? I came here for a birthday get together, so did not do much Unilocal research prior(strike one?) and I just didn’t get the hype. We arrived Saturday night around 8pm and there were long lines at the front counter for glasses and money cards. When I finally made it to the counter, I was charged $ 3 for the card, then I could put money on the card to spend on wine. I know it’s just $ 3, but really, is it necessary? I like the ability to try different pour sizes depending on your taste, but I found the cost for most bottles was higher than I’d pay elsewhere. The Wine Room has a very Park Ave feel and it was very crowded the night I visited. I ended up having one pricey glass of wine and heading out. Based on this one experience, I likely wouldn’t be back on my own, but if I were meeting a group of people here perhaps I’d try a tip mentioned in one of the positive Unilocal reviews and maybe it would be a better time– –sit outside –buy a bottle on a night with a no corkage fee — not go on the weekend Likely won’t come back, but if I do, I’ll update my review!

The Wine Room is my happy place :) But seriously, I love this place! I came here with two friends and used the Groupon deal(pay $ 34 for $ 50 credit + a card), and we had a blast! There are vending stations all along the walls with descriptions of each wine including some recommended pairings for each. If you’re hungry they also serve hors d’oeuvres like cheese and meat plates. We sat outside on the patio and had the Foie Gras platter and bruschetta plate. They were both extremely delicious! Plus while we were dining they brought us each a glass of merlot to try for free. The service from our waiter was impeccable. Overall I highly recommend The Wine Room! It has it all: top notch service, a wide array of high quality wines, lounge and table seating with a sophisticated atmosphere, and delicious food plates to share. If you’re a local you’ve got to try The Wine Room!

Whether you are a newbie embarking in the magical world of wine or a collector of fine wines, Wine Room should be your GO To place to hang out. And if you are fortunate enough to get Mr. Kevin to assist you — it will be an evening to please all your senses. PS: They host wine tastings/classes every month. A fantastic option to further educate your wine knowledge. The flat breads and artisnal cheeses will ensure that both your glass and belly is filled! Cheers!

The wine room is always a great place to chill and relax. I came here with a group of girlfriends and it was a nice time. How it works is that you buy this card for $ 3.00 and put any amount of money you want on it and sample different wines. This place is a win win for any wine lovers. They have wines from France, Italy, US, pretty much everywhere. Honestly if you are on Park Avenue, you have to stop by the Wine Room, you will not be disappointed.
