Ordered the chopped salad this afternoon, embarrassing. Almost no chicken, all lettuce. SHAME.

This was my first time here. My mom brought my daughter and I. Let me tell you I loved it. Very good breakfast and great customer service. I felt very welcomed. I’m so glad my mom chose to come here.

Customer service here is beyond disappointing. The saddest part is, it’s the closest location to my home and I really love their soups and salads here. BUT, I’d rather drive all the way to Brea. Every time that I’ve called and tried to place an order for pick up, I seem to get stuck with Matthew answering the phone. Talk about a serious lack of knowing how to talk to people. SORUDE!!! I really don’t know why he has a job in customer service because he has ZERO customer service skills. My topper, was on my last visit when I ordered the usually lush green, delicious Harvest Salad with chicken. I had already gotten about half way through, when I had just piled some greens onto my fork and saw what appeared to be a course, long, black pubic hair. I felt sick, literally, nauseated. I got immediate anxiety thinking about where it came from and had to leave. When I got home and had settled down, I called to report the incident and low and behold, Matthew answered. He spoke so fast all I heard was his name. He then proceeded to immediately place me on hold without even asking if it had been okay first. I held on for 17 minutes, Matthew never returned, neither did anybody else. I hung up and decided to never visit this location again. I realize that Corner Bakery is a very large, well-known establishment and yes their food is delicious, but, the lack of not only customer service to patrons, but now also quality control, is a serious concern and a major turn off. I fear for the future of this location.

The woman manager on duty tonight 5⁄20 is beyond sweet. She treated everyone so sweet like she was your friend. You don’t find people like that very often. I didn’t get her name but her kindness made my night.

Ok food, way over priced. Even worse if you get to go order. We just order a department lunch and almost everyone is dissapointed.

This is my friend’s favorite restaurant, and while I hope it’s not taboo to mention their competitor, this place definitely gives Panera Bread a run for their money. It’s got a cozy atmosphere and, from what I tasted, marvelous food and beverage.(I had a panini and a hot chai.) Service was rather unremarkable, but nothing reproachable, either.(The place was pretty empty when we were there late on Saturday so maybe they were all just tired after the long weekend.) The pasta looked pretty enticing, so if I’m in the neighborhood again sometime I would def come by again to try some of the other menu items! For such a homey place full of comfort food, I see why my friend likes it so much!

I really like eating here. The customer service is awesome. Thanks Gilbert. The chicken pomodori sandwich is what I come for every time.

Solid chain restaurant. Pesto sandwich was bland. This is by design in order to appeal to a mass audience. Chopped salad was well balanced. Just enough blue cheese and bacon to keep you satisfied. Location is clean and staff is friendly.

They are so cheap with the food. I ordered the anaheim scrambler. I received 6 small potatoes slices. Burnt by the way… This plate looks like a child’s plate. I would not order that again. Overpriced

I love Corner Bakery Café and this location is exceptional. Great customer service provided by all employees. Food is delicious. There was a slight mixup with our pasta and the employees made no issue at all and brought out a new order of pasta along with our old pasta. Michelle is awesome.

We went in today for lunch around 12:30 and even with it being the prime lunch hour, we didn’t have to wait in line and got our food really quickly. Shalamar brought us our order and she was super friendly. We had a great lunch experience and look forward to returning.

New item on the menu, brunt potato’s and burnt onions. There’s only one girl(with glasses) helping out in the dinning room, making sure customers have everything they need. I come here often, they seem off their game today and its not even busy…

This review is for catering and delivery from the Whittier location. I needed breakfast catered to my office at 7:45 am on a Friday. I used the online ordering option which made me uneasy because I didn’t confirm the order with a live person(and because of the negative phone order/app pick up reviews). I ordered around 5 pm on Wed so to give the restaurant apt time to prepare. I needed to feed about 16 — 25 people. I ordered: The Big Scramble and the Breakfast Basket. The Big Scramble comes with your choice of sausage or bacon and a tray of croissants. The Breakfast Basket is an assortment of bagels, muffins, and a variety of their bakery items. I opted for no cheese on the scrambled eggs and bacon(you can’t go wrong with bacon!) You can also opt for a hot station for a breakfast buffet experience for an extra charge but I didn’t need that. You can also order those to go hot coffee for $ 10 more. Half gallon of orange Juice was $ 10, which seemed extreme so I opted to make a special trip to Smart and Final for 1 gallon for $ 5 instead. The scrambled eggs were kind of tasteless and overcooked but average in terms of buffet/catered eggs. Bacon was really good. Croissants were bomb! I’m definitely going back to the brick and mortar location for the croissants. I was very surprised that there were a lot of eggs and bacon left as the office staff usually destroys the breakfast selections. However there were only about 2 pieces left of the bakery items. So next time I’ll opt for the Corner Breakfast option which is the variety of baked goods and fruit tray. I liked that for the Breakfast Basket you can customize if you want more or less of different items. Service: the caterer was prompt and called my cell phone from the lobby so I asked her to come up to the office to deliver. She asked if I wanted her to set up the table and I opted for that since I wanted to see what that would entail. She arranged the catering tray and opened the baked goods tray. She set up the plates, napkins and cutlery. Next time I’ll opt for just setting it up myself as I felt bad just standing around while she set up so I just made small talk. Apparently Corner Bakery gets a lot of catering delivery orders and goes as far as Downey /Norwalk. Many of the lunch catering orders are last minute. Being in the food industry it breaks my heart that people think it’s ok to order large amounts of food(like 100 lunch boxes) with only 15 min notice. However, on the plates, they advertise that they are Last Minute Catering experts. Price: the The Big Scramble(serves 8 — 10) was $ 65 and the medium size(23 pieces) Breakfast Basket was $ 65. Delivery charge was $ 13 to City of Industry. I can’t remember how much tax was but it was around $ 13 so total was about $ 156. I gave a tip on top of that. I received a letter sized receipt so that made it easy for my accountant. I was definitely pleased with the online ordering and catering delivery. I will order breakfast from this location again!

Good place and great service. Usually you get a little embarrassed at a subway to ask for crackers when getting a soup but here they have a bin to grab a bunch of crackers. Once I took a couple(10+) I sat down and the manager passes by, and looks at the pile. He walks away but comes back and says«How about a bag for all your crackers?» I don’t know, but this was a bit of a surprise for me. Made me feel like I wasn’t being ridiculous for asking for a third crackers like at subway. Anyway, can never go wrong with a Uptown Turkey and Tomato soip. Sign up for the email and get some great coupons. Also, they once forgot my co workers desert with his meal and he called to let them know they forgot and he would pick it up. They offered to come down the street and deliver it to him. Great customer service is hard to find but not at this Corner Bakery!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Corner Bakery. The Swiss Berry Almond Oatmeal is second to none. It is the ONLY place that makes chilled oatmeal which is AWESOME! This specific location in Whittier is ALWAYS clean, staff is always very courteous and professional, restrooms are always clean, coffee area is always clean and well stocked, outdoor patio seating area is always clean and there is plenty of parking out in the back. Highly recommend this location

Nicest people ever here! I’ve been to other Corner Bakery Cafes, but the team here is over the top friendly! Great service. Awesome coffee. Delicious pastries. I hope the manager/owner of this location appreciates his/her friendly staff working on Xmas Eve as much as I do. Thank you!

I mean it’s Corner Bakery… You sort of know what you are getting! Everyone at this location is super friendly! They lady at the register was very friendly and got my order entered all correct(even though I was ordering for 4 people!) The only reason they get 3 stars is because they forgot the cream cheese on the bagel. Which is a bummer when you do take-out because then there’s nothing you can do about it when you realize it. Also, they were sold out of plain bagels so I had to get sesame. Seems a little silly to run out of plain bagels by 9:30am. Service was pretty prompt, I think I waited about 5 minutes from the time I ordered to get my bag of food. Although I went a little later in the morning(so not really breakfast, not really lunch rush) and I didn’t order any of their plates or sandwiches. Decently priced and food was fine. I mean how can you mess up a croissant, cinnamon roll, bagel and oatmeal? I only came here because it was the only place suitable in the area. I personally prefer to go other breakfast places not chains, but it was good for what I needed.

4 ½ stars. New to Whittier and formerly a Boston Market location. After visiting the recently open LA Fitness I stopped in to check out Corner Bakery for my first visit. I pick up some baked in house goods to go for breakfast. This location is corporate operated and not a franchise. There’s complimentary WiFi and a heated covered pet friendly outdoor patio and indoor dining area that seats over 100 people. The menu is diverse and they open at 6:30 am weekdays and weekends at 7:00 am. I ended up purchasing a banana muffin, pumpkin cake and apple turnover. Everything tasted fresh and delish. Definitely could tell the better quality than my other coffee and bakeries I usually patronize. I returned on Sunday am and also tried the Farmers scramble — which included pancakes, eggs and opted for the apple chicken sausage vs bacon. The breakfast was delicious and I’m a fan of the coffee here too. The staff of employees are friendly and eager to assist at the counter and dining room. We took items home for dessert after dinner that same day which included the yummy chocolate bundt cake and cinnamon cream cake. I’m already a fan of Corner Bakery fresh baked goods and will be looking forward to trying their lunch and dinner entrees.

New Year, new reviews and given that Corner Bakery is new in the hood, I’ll start with them… ding, ding, ding! Location: Prime. Located in the ever so congested Whittier Blvd there is no way you miss it… unless you are too busy cussing at traffic like I do, then you just might. Contrary to it’s name, it is NOT in a corner but it is next to some bank… that’s in a corner. Oy vey. Parking: they share with said bank so on busy days it can be a struggle, but so is life so deal with it. Premise: Pristine. Maybe it’s the fact that it is new but there are always employees wiping tables and picking up plates. If we are comparing them to Panera, Corner takes the Mr. Clean award. Food: They are similar to Panera in that they have the same kinds of foods-sandwiches, pastas, salads, smoothies, and pastries of course. I can’t give an honest opinion on which one is best only because I have the same thing at Panera all the time(which is delish!) but haven’t had a variety as I have had here. The first time here, I had the half chicken pomodori with a cup of chili which also comes with chips. Yum! Expect to be hungry later tho. My kid is a FAN of the mac and cheese and taking his cue I ordered the adult sized version with bacon on top… HOLYSHIT. Nuff said. Also, special shout out to their hibiscus lemonade. My company catered from them for one of our training’s and I have to say I was so impressed. As far as boxed lunches go, they are one of the best! The box had an amazing pesto sandwich(very decent sized) chips, fruit cup, macaroni salad(super YUM!) and a giant cookie! Service: Superb! I know it’s probably part of their protocol but employees ask you how your day is going and actually have conversations with you. They also stop by your table to ask if you need anything. My kid dropped his(empty) cup on the floor by accident and they graciously gave him a new one without us having to ask. They go over your to-go orders before you leave and everyone always looks you in the eye and smiles and greets you from the cashier to the bus boys. Super impressed, keep it up! Conclusion: Just go! Make it rain up in there with your hard earn dollar and you will get a great meal in a clean restaurant with awesome staff in return! Arleene Approved.

Today we got to eat here for their family and friends invitation. I am so happy that they finally came to Whittier. We needed a place like this. It’s on a busy street being on Whittier Blvd, but I think that adds to all the fun places around the area. Parking would be in the back, going to be hard to find a spot on the street where the busy traffic is. Upon entering we got to meet all the owners and the general manager that would be there at the store. They were all so friendly and welcoming. The staff was so nice all around when we placed our order and coming to our table to help clean up. 5 stars on service! I ordered the pesto turkey sandwich that came with soup or salad. I got the chicken tortilla soup. It also came with a bag of chips. The sandwich itself was really good with great flavor. I love pesto. The sandwich was small but still filling. My daughter got mac n cheese and devoured it, she said it was so yummy. My hubby got some kind of roast beef sandwich and he said it was just okay but wants to try something else here next time. They stopped by our table and offered us a sample of their mini cookies. Those were my favorite thing there! I got a snicker doodle and it was so soft. The pricing is what has to loose a star for me because they are pretty pricey. This would be a place I would come to ever now and then kind of like Panera bread. But I loved my experience here and will come back!
