An excellent choice for a sushi buffet in NJ. They don’t have many places like this that let you order off a menu and have the sushi made fresh. The rolls are very limited but there is enough to keep you satisfied and full. We tried The lunch menu and it was excellent. Ordered about six rolls and a few apps. Left very full. The wait staff can be hard to communicate with but its not a big deal. I would recommend this place if your looking to have above average sushi and walk out full.

If you want good quality sushi and service, DON’T come here. Literally had the worst experience; the waitresses stood and stared obnoxiously at us during the entire meal while my friend and I ate mushy and discolored sushi. I rarely write reviews unless the restaurant is either phenomenal or outright horrendous. So take my advice and go elsewhere… I rather pay a little more and get good service and food than pay a little less for a horrible experience. I also hate when the waitresses speak in a different language to each other when they’re obviously talking about and laughing at their customers– it’s rude and disrespectful

Been here many times before, stopped going for a while and decided to visit this past Friday. Lets face it you are not coming here to get quality, its quantity and you get what you pay for. What I mean by that is that for about $ 25 you can get your fill of some ok rolls, if you tend to eat more than three specialty rolls its well worth it. As far as the sashimi they try to control consumption with the uncommon smaller cuts when you order salmon, squid etc. If you are going to a place like this you can’t seriously have high expectations with service and ambiance, specially if you notice who is running the place. The sanitary conditions were a bit questionable this last time, they were cleaning whole fish on the sushi counter and some of the cleaned fish pilled on the plates were just hanging over touching the counter. The owners/employees definitely give the impression that sanitary conditions may not be of outmost importance with preparation and handling.

Let me say, this was highly recommended by my friends. So we went based on those recommendations. Well, the flat fee for sushi is appealing. Anyone that regularly enjoys sushi knows, you can easily spend an arm and leg on good quality sushi. Sushi Village isn’t a buffet and all sushi is made to order. However, my caution is if you are a sashimi and traditional, non-roll sushi lover, they limit it to one piece per order. You will literally have to send your order back over and over to get your fill of that. But, if you tend to eat rolls, you will get plenty of food. Overall, we loved the price more than the food. It wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great. More of a Meh with so so service. It wouldn’t be the first place we think of when we want sushi.

So many people have raved about this place so I decided to try it out the other night. Let me tell you — worst service I have ever received in my life. Our waitress spoke not a word of English and did not ask us how we were doing or if we needed anything once during our meal. One of us continuously asked for hot sauce in which she would bring other spices because she could not understand us. She also took her lunch break at the table across from us right after giving us our check, so we had to find another waitress to take it from us in order to leave. I’m sure this is not entirely the waitresses fault; obviously management at this place needs some serious help. If their food was somewhat decent I wouldn’t have been totally disappointed, but it really was under par. I do not recomment coming here.

I’ve been here twice, once for HS graduation and once with my mom. I have tried several AYCE sushi buffets but this(to be very honest) is probably my least favorite, but it’s the closest to home. The service is okay — when they get busy they tend to neglect you. The atmosphere is very loud and the tables are a bit tightly packed together. For the rolls you get, they tend to put a lot of rice which I personally don’t like because then you get full quicker(but saves $$ for the business)

This is my usual go-to AYCE sushi spot. I’ve been here so many times. The sushi is good for AYCE. Just sometimes they miss rolls on your plate, so you have to be on the look out to make sure you have everything you ordered. It gets pretty crowded here on the weekends, however there is a TJMAX next door where I usually go to kill time while waiting. Service is decent, not the worst. 23 $ for AYCE, I’ll take it!

I love Sushi!!! This place was not the best out of all the AYCE sushi places I’ve been to. Usually at other places you pay one price and eat as much as you want but Sushi Village has a limit of ordering only twice. Sushi were fresh, and the place itself was nice inside, with lots of room. I was there on Saturday and this place was packed! Waitress that was serving out table was rude and not pleasant at all. I might go back there again.

This is our favorite sushi place. The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is because the service sucks. The waiters act like you’re bothering them when you ask for ANYTHING. We have tried other AYCE sushi spots and we always come back here. Its not too much rice but sometimes they don’t give you all the rolls you ordered… or sometimes they give you rolls that aren’t even what you ordered. its a $ 25 per person place, you get what you pay for… and for $ 25, it doesn’t get better!

I do not understand why some people say this place offers quality sushi when it is really not. You get what you pay for. A little advice: dont come here during busy hours. Their already-thin sliced sushi and sashimi gets thinner and the rice bigger. The sashimi on sushi actually got thin as paper as if it were a Maki.

The only reason why I’m not giving this place 5 stars is because of the service. The wait staff look like they’re upset that you’re there and they’re not even paying attention. This one server kept trying to pour water in my friend’s sprite cup, even after my friend told her countless times that she had soda in there. But regardless this sushi place was THEBOMB.COM. Sushi was super fresh and they are making it in front of you, and quickly! So many things to choose from, you’ll need to come back for more. I’ll be back: terminator voice:

Well another regular boring sushi buffet place. Spicy tunas rolls weren’t spicy at all. No flavor sushi, quality is okie, and service can be slow at times. Servers were friendly and helpful, reason why they didn’t get one star. There are better places in Bergen County than this place!

The all-you-can-eat sushi buffet is an amazing value if you are famished. Tons of specialty rolls and lots of side orders. They do tend to get the order wrong(e.g., skimp out on a couple pieces of tuna), but it’s not a big deal since you will order it during your next course. The service used to be incredibly slow but now they have sped up because they noticed that the longer they took, the more time people had to digest and order more all-you-can-eat! I have not gotten sick and I have been here probably a dozen times. I am no shush connoisseur but to me it is very good.

$ 25 for all you can eat sushi! Sounds like something you would not want to do(cheap sushi), but this place actually has quality fish. Their rolls are delicious as is their crab salad. NOTE: If you put a lot of rolls on your order, they may drop a few off or really give you a lot of the spicy rolls. Either go slow and order small amounts or really overload and don’t order any spicy rolls!

My hubby and I go here for our dates! When we get a night to ourselves and the baby is with the grandparents, we go straight here! This place is quick and delicious. I have had sad instances where I waited 1 hour for my food INOTHERRESTAURANTS. But this place is quick. Sometimes they miss and order or two. But it’s pretty fast to get their attention to give you the right one. Five stars! And BYOB!

This is the best sushi deal with the best quality of fish of the all-you-can-eat sushi places within the area. For only $ 20.99 during the weekdays and $ 23.99 on weekends, you can order from the kitchen menu for your other Japanese fixings and desserts in addition to their sushi menu. Their spicy seaweed salad is the best I’ve had and they give a huge portion of it. My favorite roll is the Bergen roll, which has shrimp tempura and spicy tuna inside and spicy crab on top. The major downside to this place is the service. There is a language barrier so they don’t really understand some of your requests or questions. They lack team communication as seen by the multiple servers that come up to you thinking you haven’t ordered yet. They also tend to rush you even though it’s not near closing time. Come here for the variety offered on their menu and for a great value. Do not come here if you expect the highest quality sushi or outstanding service.

Bad service? Luckily, this place is BYOB, so you can drown your frustrations away with some wine or sake. Bad service? Good thing you’ll be too busy to notice as you’re chowing down on AYCE sushi/noodles/pork belly/other Asian food. Bad service? Leave a smaller tip on their extremely affordable $ 22.50 dinner deals. Bad service? Suck it up. It’s an AYCE Asian place. It’s synonymous with bad service.
