The gym is located in a shopping strip mall with ample parking. The woman at the front desk is always cheerful and alert and did a wonderful job of showing me around and speaking honestly about how this gym sizes up to others in the area. I used a week-long free trial and took advantage of the classes. They have one instructor in particular, Danielle, who is STELLAR, and the others are decent but not spectacular. Their yoga classes are misnamed and quite disappointing(although I guess shame on me for expecting something better in a gym, I suppose I should go to a yoga studio). The idea of an all-woman gym is inspiring, but it seems much of the experience is tailored to an aging crowd(and there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just not for me). The atmosphere was reminiscent of the now«vintage» exercise explosion of the 80’s, and I was disappointed that the class room, weights, and cardio were not better separated so I could focus on my workout. The locker rooms were standard, no hairdryers(just a plug) and the showers were pretty bad. The sauna was nice and the class equipment(core bars, blocks, mats, balls, steps, etc.) was plentiful and clean. I’d say all in all it’s worth it for $ 40/month.

I started to work out planning on using the treadmills and elliptical machines only. While I was on the machines I watched the classes and was impressed with the instructors, the format and energy from the other members. So I decided to take the leap and join one of the classes. I now take many of their classes every week! A lot of the members In the classes have become friends of mine! :)

Good points-newly renovated locker room new floor well informed, great instructors variety of classes friendly staff, friendly members pool all women gym improvements– could be cleaner I need to schedule my workouts around the classes. Instructors like to turn up the volume which prohibits hearing my ipod music as well as ear piercing-since it’s a small gym and the sound level isn’t absorbed

Lenny Kravitz, is that you? Just kidding! Folks, why the long faces? I love this gym! Variety of classes at a variety of different times with a variety of great instructors! Friendly front desk staff(most of the time), great Zumba classes, a pool & sauna, encouragement of off-site charity events, a brand new dance/class floor, a genuine interest in the health & well-being of their members/instructors, enough weight & cardio machines for a small gym, reasonably priced AND all-women. Sure, sometimes there can be audio problems right before a class starts. Sure, the bathroom could definitely use an update. But generally speaking you get a lot of bang for your buck, and during the holidays they have great price promotions AND reasonable prices for students year-round. My mom, sister and I all belong here. Give it a test run with one of Kim or Mima’s classes — you won’t be sorry!

I called to cancel my wife’s membership today, and was told that I must send the request(in writing) to your headquarters. I was then told that I would be charged a minimum of 2 more month’s membership fees once the letter is received. While I can understand a minimum commitment requirement up front, I fail to see the reason which would require you to continue charging us after we have requested to terminate our membership and well after our initial agreement of 2 years has passed. I know that this charge was noted in the original contract, but I just can’t understand how this fee can not be waived for a customer of over 4 years. What is the reason for this charge, and additionally the reason that you make it difficult to cancel the membership? Is it solely an effort to keep your«customers» paying at any cost? You have not temporarily lost a customer, you have permanently lost one, for $ 90. Great business decision…
