Don’t ever come to this place. They didn’t give me enough deserts when I ordered. I went home & checked. I missed my deserts. Then, I called them. They didn’t say sorry. They argued with me. I ordered a lot but they gave me 3⁄2 of my order. If they try to give me back next time. They will get more sale bc I always buy a lot. Also, I will tell my friends and family to come here. However, they are sooooooo bad customer service. Please, don’t come to this place.

This che hien khanh is not like the one across the street in the t&k plaza. i don’t know why they have the same name but this place has the best custom che! You can get a regular cup of che for $ 3 or a large cup for $ 4. Their toppings are amazing! They have the chewy tapioca pandan topping(banh lot dai) and the best little red chewy balls with crunchy centers(hat luu). I used to go to the other hien khanh a lot but havent gone back since I found this place. :) this place isnt as crowded either because not many people know about it.

This location is smaller than the one across the street but I still like it. The girl that works here understands English and she always greets me with a smile. Sometimes that’s all it takes. They have less offerings but they always have the stuff I like so I can’t really complain about that. Sometimes I go to the location across the street because they do have a little bit more stuff but there is always a line so I come here now mostly. Tastes the same and a lot shorter lines cause I hate waiting in lines. I noticed today that there is a little table in the corner but don’t count on it being available cause there is always someone already sitting in it. Get your che and go.

If you want to taste and try some of Vietnam best desserts this is the place to go. They have 3 locations all over Little Saigon area. The Coconut cream they put on top with some dessert is by far the best in the area. Let me warn you. You’re not walking out of there under $ 10 because everything is yummy. Just myself alone today cost $ 12 but it’s worth it.

One early morning, i was craving some dessert for some reason. I ended up getting here. From my car i see two ladies with vans parked outside but im guessing they were the owners. I was going to check the business hours from the door since they had gone inside. As i walk past their vans, they quickly lock their cars at the same time, THEEETIMES –__– from the inside of the store. Like are you serious rn, just because im latino, doesnt mean im gonna steal your shit. The door was open but only for them, I guess they were preparing everything. So as im trying to find their business hours, one of the ladies comes out to get something from her van, she doesn’t even greet me and gives me the dirtiest bitch face look. Wtf! You have a person that is interested, and you give them bitch attitude!!! I feel like they discriminate against certain races idk, but who locks their car 3x exactly when you walk past it? Idk but DONOTCOMEHERE. Zero stars, imagine if they had been open? They probably would have kicked me out.

LOVE this new location, they’ve been hear for about a year and a half? I’ve always gone to the original location near 7 leaves, but when I discovered this new one opened I had to try it. The workers are younger and know english so no more having to just point and be a noob if you don’t know vietnamese! The che here also tastes a lot fresher. I love the khoai mi(cassava) dessert and the che khoai mon(taro w/pandan sticky rice & coconut milk). The khoai mi is soooo good they sprinkle these sweet sesame seeds on top w/coconut flakes. They pack it warm and fresh so that it’s smooth and soft when you scoop it w/your spoon to eat. A lot better than their other locations! The che khoai mon had a little less taro than other places, but it could be because I came a little late so I had to settle for the prepackaged cup. I’m sure if you come early in the mornings they scoop it fresh for you like the other locations. Cheap, clean, and satisfies my che cravings! Going to be going her more because parking is better than their location near 7 leaves :)

I work nearby and never thought of even going in here. I usually go to the restaurant next door and get some food to go or something, but I usually overlook this place. Not today! I guess today is a Vietnamese holiday or something, so everything else was packed, so I walked in to the dessert house. This was a great decision. I asked the ladies working there what I was looking at(everything was so new to me). They were able to tell me what everything was called, but I had no idea what that meant. I decided to just trust them and asked them to surprise me. They gave me a #2, which is a 3 layered dessert drink. I should have told the young ladies that I don’t like coconut, but I didn’t. I had no idea that coconut milk is the main ingredient in the drink. This drink was delicious though! It was the right amount of sweet, and the layers at the bottom complimented the coconut milk perfectly. All this deliciousness for $ 3??? It was great! I’m definitely going back.

This place is smaller but alittle newer. They don’t carry as much desserts aswell. Quality seems to be consistent but I’ve only been to this new location once so my comments maybe inaccurate.

Oh Lord, I love che! And this is the best place to get it. Especially right after a full plate of broken rice next door, I always have to run on over after my meal and get myself one of their delicious che’s. They have a great selection of che’s and xoi’s(sweet, sticky rice). I normally get the Ba Mau Dai(roughly translated to Three Chewy Colors???) Can’t really say what’s in it, but I love it, it tastes like sweet, sweet heaven and it’s oh-so chewy. Gosh. This is what I think I’m chewing on: red chestnuts, boba, something what seems to be long, pandan jelly, and smashed mung bean. $ 3 Heaven. They have 2 other locations. The first one next to My Gi Mi Gia and then there’s the one in the T&K plaza.

**GOODVIETNAMESEDESSERTS(CHE) INLITTLESAIGON** A solid chè chain/franchise of solid Vietnamese sweet goodness. PARKING ======== Strip mall. AMBIANCE ========== Modern and clean. FOOD ===== CHECHUOI(Warm Bananas and Tapioca Pearls In Coconut) — $ 3.25 Not too sweet and with sesame and peanuts on top, it was perfect. RATING: 5⁄5 CHEDAUTRANG(Rice Pudding with Black-Eyed Peas) — $ 3.25 I’ve had better, the stickiness of the rice pudding was not sticky enough. Flavor was OK, coconut taste needs to be more prominent. RATING: 3⁄5 OVERALL ======== They carry many other Vietnamese desserts that I «have» to try. Thought it was a bit pricey for chè. RECOMMEND for those craving chè in a modern setting.

Do not come to this place. The worse customers services ever! !!! I came in to this place early in the day, there was nobody around. The old man whom stood behind the deserts bar staring at me as he pressured me to order while I was still deciding what to get. I didn’t say anything rather than looked at some more items, then there was another girl asked me again of what I wanted. Hello, give customers a minute to see what is around before order. I ordered some«xoi vo» and was looking the cold items. The girl was watching me so carefully and rudely told me don’t lift up the cups cause it would spill. Why are this people so f… ing control freaks??? I decided to walk out, then the old man started to make some shzzz… shzzz noises, a type of noise as though he was kicking out a dog. What a bunch of no manner people !!!

Probably my least favorite location. The interior is a bit more modern though and I do like that there is ample parking available in the plaza though. The Che Thai is more milky here, I couldn’t really taste the coconut flavor. I do like that they add the faux pomegranate seeds(chestnuts) in when you order, since it changes the liquid to pinkish color if it’s been sitting in there for too long. I did noticed though, that they don’t put as much fruits as other places. The Sam Bo Loung was okay, there’s a lot of transparent jelly stringy things in there which I wasn’t a fan of. There wasn’t as much variety of ingredients compared to other locations. Some of their che is already pre made in the cup and they just add ice. They don’t have as much che visible or much of a menu so it was difficult for me to see what they serve since I don’t know what the names for everything are(I’m not Vietnamese). Since there isn’t much visible I can’t just point either! Overall, its a convenient location but probably a bit difficult for people who aren’t Vietnamese to come and order here.

This place is a MUST for anyone who wants to try Vietnamese desserts! There are many varieties of che and banh ngot. Che is a term that refers to Vietnamese sweet beverage, dessert soup or pudding. Banh generally refers to cake or bread. Ngot means sweet. Kind of hard to translate directly. Also hard to explain these desserts. But I grew up having them as treats. So of course, I love them. There are many che places in Little Saigon and even a few Thach Che Hien Khanh. But I prefer this location. There’s usually ample parking on the weekdays. Good luck on the weekends :\ It’s in a strip mall with some of our other favorite food places. So we’d usually do a savory circuit and end up here for dessert. How to order: 1) line up 2) point at what you think looks good and scream out how much you want 3) pay at CASH register(yes, CASHONLY!) 4) consume elsewhere as it’s a to-go only joint My husband would usually make his own che. He’d point to what he wants from the pans… mung beans, black-eyed peas, kidney beans, tapioca, jelly, seaweed, etc. The server would throw it all in a plastic cup, add simple syrup, coconut crème, & ice. Up to him to mix it up with the fat straw or spoon he’s given. I usually go with the durian rice, cassava, or banh da lun. Just about everything is pretty decent here, which makes it a very popular place. So at times it can be claustrophobic and people would try to push ahead. Rude! But that’s par for the course in Little Saigon. Just push back & enjoy your dessert ;)

Came here after getting Com Tam at the restaurant in the corner. It’s only slightly cheaper, but cheaper is always better right? Got the Che 3 Mau and it was the right level of sweetness with their coconut milk. They definitely fill your cup up and they offer ice if you want it. Thumbs up for me!

Their Che and soy(sweet rice) are much better than the other places. Not too sweet. Love their yogurt drink with the red jelly. If you haven’t tried it, I strongly recommend.

We came on a Sunday afternoon and order the usual Che Thai for $ 3. — Pre-Made che. Don’t like how they have it already in the cup and they add the che and ice — jelly so chewy! — More jelly than thach che(sweet temptation) — Too much«noodles». haha. They have string jelly in their che. — Ice pieces too big — FREE boba added! NOM! — Cheaper than thach che, but its smaller. There’s is 3.25. — My 2nd favorite place to get Che Thai. First is Thach Che My Linh :) — They have multiple locations so they’re pretty famous in the Viet world. haha xD

Hien Khanh used to be a hole-in-the-wall family business while my parents were dating back in the days, and now they have expanded and opened many new locations all over the Little Saigon area. This location is one of their newest locations. It is a bit smaller than the other ones I’ve been to, but also less crowded. They sell Che, which is a traditional Vietnamese desserts, and also some newer innovated ones that are made with Vietnamese ingredients, but had never been combined together before. For instance, che 3 mau is a 3 layer dessert that is traditionally 3 colors… But in this day and age, you can get up to che 7 mau. My mom has been getting that every time we visit the bolsa-area recently. This time we went to this specific location instead of the one of the one on westminster and kerry cause we were already in the area getting broken rice. We felt like the flavors were not as AMAZING. It was missing the Mung Bean and it wasn’t sweet enough. Maybe the other place taste better cause they;re so busy busy that the product is always fresh! If you are not familiar with Che it’s comparable to a sweet rice, pudding, and/or beverage dessert. My recommendations if you get Che at Hien Khanh are: — Xoi(sweet rice) — I like the meaty one with sausages — Che Chuoi(made w banana) — Che Dau Trang(made w black eyed peas) — Com Ruou(fermented sweet rice to the point it has an alchy taste) With the Che, it is usually served with coconut milk. If you aren’t going to eat it right away, I recommend getting it on the side so it would last longer :) The drinks are easy. They give you a boba straw so all the beans, tapiocas, and fruit particles can be easily sucked up that straw. If you plan on stopping by for some Vietnamese dessert, you should park on the plaza next to them where Tay Du Ky and Banh Cuon Tay Ho is and walk over. It’ll save you some time and some stress :) ~~ Cash Only
