Corner View Bakery

Place used to be called Sing Sing bakery but it looks like under new management. Sure they take credit cards but there’s a $ 10 minimum. Plenty of better bakeries around the area so take your business elsewhere. Someone should call the inspector on this place because it was pretty dirty inside. I wont be coming back here again.

They just got remodeled and added more desserts and drinks and che. They are soo good with good prices too.

I went here for the dishes a few times. The first time was a good experience. I got the froed chicken which was crunchy and freshly made. The other times were horrible. The soup dishes were plain and ridiculously small amd the fried chicken was not as good as the first time. It had a weird taste like it was cooked in old oil

The fruit cakes just aren’t the same anymore. The custard is different. I’ll be looking for a new place.

They’re good is SOO bad. & service is also horrible. I wish I could give negatives.
We walked in, and the lady was on the phone and just continued as if we weren’t there. I had to grab the menu myself. When the came out, it was not what I expected. I asked for a different spice sauce because theirs was weird and tasted like sweet candy, and they complained in VIET about me complaining. I’m VIET, so I understood what they said. The food is just really horrible, but their cake and sweets are pretty good!
They charged 50 cents for water???

I went in because I was craving sweets but before ordering I asked to use the bathroom. The lady took me to the kitchen where the bathroom was and took a good look around the kitchen and I’ve never seen such a unsanitary area…
After using the bathroom, I looked around at the kitchen again. There was uncooked meat left out with nothing cover it. Shouldn’t meat be refrigerated too??? Also noticed a few cutting boards that were left out that was not washed yet. When I left the kitchen, I told the lady that I didn’t want anything anymore. Being a Vietnamese lady, she begun giving me attitude. Sorry if I didn’t want to eat any of the food and sweets that came from a gross kitchen… Thank god i remembered there was snow monster around the corner and went there instead to fulfill my cravings

I haven’t ate here but I walked by and stumbled upon a mouse in the window where they do all their baking. You have been warned. This is not sanitary at all but rather disgusting! I feel bad for anyone who comes here and eats. Shame on this establishment for not being clean!

Came here last Sunday and ordered my crab paste, shrimp&fish noodle (what they call on the menu and price $ 6.95), the waitress brought my noodle out and I saw faked crab meat in my noolde, I asked her «in the menu doesnt say faked crab meat in it so I dont want this in my noodle, I want u take take it out and put crab paste in it instead» I dont like the food I order which brought out is different from the menu and then they charged my noodle $ 7.50 instead $ 6.95,I asked them «why?», they said «because its everything in there so it calls special» and I said «in the menu, crab paste, shrimp&fish for $ 6.95,I didnt get anything more than that, what is special about?» BS. The food quality of this place is getting worst, charging is different from the menu, losing customers, belly up soon

I feel like you should buy the cakes, sweets, etc. but not the food. The food isn’t good enough smells amazing buy the cakes ask for flowers for I think 1.00. But amazing!

I love their mi ga (chicken noodle), flan cake (the big one for parties) and cold tofu with ginger sweet sauce!

2^nd time here & definitely not coming back. I ordered a traditional bowl of noodles. The meat was old & appeared to be spoiled. They attempted to heat it to the boiling point to kill any bad taste. They attempted to fix the problem, but I’m not taking any chances.

Terrible place!!! I haven’t try their food yet but will definitely not going to come back.
I came here with my bf, we wanted to order something to drink and the guy told me they don’t have anything on the menu @.@ which is unbelievable but I’m not too disappointed by that. We decided to get some cakes. I got the green tea cheese cake and it was already bad! it was so nasty. I took a bite and threw up right away. I believe that they selling old cakes from yesterday or the day before yesterday… well !!!who know how long it has been there x_​x I told the guy who took my order he did say sorry and give me something else. I don’t really want to eat anything from this place after that.

Seems like every Vietnamese place has this dirty dog bath smell to it and I cant handle being in there. Except for this place. When you first walk in a soft delicious whisper of sweetness teases your senses drawing you in and totally seduces you.
I am sorry that the girl in that other review didnt have a good result with her salmon cause our was beyond perfect. The salmon n chicken are amazing. Red rice awesome. Prices are right. Smells great like a bakery.
The ginger sauce is mouth gasmic to die for. The mint leaves are exotic like cinnamon n mint together. It was soo good I took the rest home and I am going to try to propagate it into my garden… Yes its that amazing. they really should open a

Ask for Ms. Yen. She looks like Bae Doona my fav Korean actress. Both Ladies were so sweet and kind.
I have got home and still feeling great and full and satisfied. The mocha cake with mousee was to Die for!!!
Weeks later and I have not had one issue with the food an cant wait to come again!

I never realized how much I loved Cornerview until I had to order my usual fruit tart cake from Van’s bakery.
Key difference: Cornerview fruit tart cakes have at least two layers and the pastry is never stale. You bite into crispy heaven replete with light whipping and a healthy serving of fruit. Best fruit tart cake around.
Me and the owner go way back. He always jokes with me when he prepares my cake (ex. He loves to psych me out by pretending to get my frosting directions wrong «Your dad’s 89? Okay 89 it is. Okay 50.») Love that guy.

This review is mainly for their fruit tart cake. It is seriously one of the best I’ve ever had! The crunchy tart mixed in with the custard and fruit, yummy! My family and I buy them for birthdays and events all the time and people always ask us where we purchased them at. The price is also pretty reasonable! ¼ sheet for $ 25. The workers there are also all really talented on the writing on the cake!
From experience, I am shocked at their poor reviews. All the times that I have gone here, I have never had a bad experience. I would say that the customer service here is actually better than most other Asian spots too! This is my go-​to spot for their other bakery pastries too because there’s a big variety of different savory and sweet pastries. I highly recommend because I definitely prefer corner bakery over 85 degrees and think the prices are even better here!

I always came to this place to order cakes many times a year for every occasion in our family. However, I decided not to come here anymore. The last few times I was very disappointed with the way they treat customers. I ordered one design, they made the different one (depending on the cake designer’s mood_​I guess). Sometimes they let some apprentice to decorate and personalize the cake. It usually happened at the last minute so I had no choice to order somewhere else.
I seems the owner of this shop has many businesses to take care of so no one keeps an eye on how this bakery is managed.

I came here only because my bf wanted to eat their noodle.
I just ordered the salmon dish. Who orders salmon at this place right? I really wish I didn’t. I know you can eat salmon raw but my dish just didn’t look right so I sent it back and I guess they heated up.
It was dry and unappetizing.
Regarding the noodle, it was really salty.
This place is horrible. The workers look sad too but people go hear for their pastries not salmon.
The noodle was only $ 6 some but the total I had to pay was $ 18. That doesn’t make sense. Will not come back here, for anything.

It’s a bakery/​sit down restaurant. Seat yourself and they’ll bring you a menu if you opt to dine in.
Played it safe and ordered the bo luc lac. Unfortunately my only standard options are with rice or French fries. I attempted to order it with mi but it’s an additional $ 2 charge. Nah dawg. I just got it with salad.
The dish wasn’t horrendous, but it wasn’t good either. Let’s just say the best part of it was the garlic and tomatoes. The quality of meat was a bit tough for my liking.
The bf ordered the salmon dish which looked dry and I didn’t even bother trying it after one look.
I also ordered a pâté chaud since they’re known for their pastries. It was dry, not that good.
Paid $ 25 for this meal. Didn’t think it was worth it. Also, looking at their desserts, the macarons look disgusting. Just by looking at it I know they’re bad.

BBQ Pork pie review.
Warm, greasy, flaky crust on the outside filled with burnt ass tasty BBQ pork (or chicken) on the inside. And for .89 or .85 cents (I forget)… What a deal, mate…
Sure, the employees were probably talking shit about my fat ass BUT I could careless and I could snack on these all day… Maybe just on my «cheat» days… Which are pretty frequent… :D

Used to be called Sing Sing Bakery. My family has been coming here for years to buy their Fruit Tarts for special occasions. It’s always a hit or miss. Sometimes its crispy and sometimes it isn’t.
My mom will usually ask for them to make a fresh fruit tart and sometimes they will and sometimes they’ll say its fresh but its obvious it isn’t once we get home -.-

The bf bought me my birthday cake here. It was a tiramisu and looked pretty but the frosting was a little off, dry if that’s possible. The cake itself was fine but the flavor wasn’t strong enough! It needed more cognac and expresso. I also came here late night for Mi soup. It’s their specialty and I thought it was pretty good. I’d come back for that.
