Terra Patio & Garden

This spring we purchased an outdoor sofa, chairs and ottoman and were pleased with the quality of the furniture. The woman, name I forget, was very helpful. This summer I stopped in to look at some teak tables and a rug. I was the only person in the store and the gentleman at the computer barely looked up. When I approached him to inquire about these items he said, «You can see what we have on the floor or look on the computer.» then went back to what he was doing. I guess that I was looking for a bit more help than the standard Home Depot line.
Fast forward to September. We ordered a beautiful table from the same woman at Terra. The delivery was set and we were to receive a call a day in advance which never came. As a working person I need to take off early for their delivery time so I call the shop. Of course I get the dismissive gentleman that I dealt with in the summer. He said that he would get back to me. I waited, and waited then called again but no reply. As the store is on my way home I stopped to find out when delivery was going to happen as I had a certain window timeframe.
He told me that he doesn’t call unless he has something to say — could have called and said, «I am still checking on this please give me a little more time.» He gave me a few reasons why he didn’t call, none which made sense so I became angry and asked to cancel the order then asked who I could talk to about this situation. Rather than working with a client to resolve the issue he gave me his card and said, «I don’t care what you say» among a few other stunners. At this point I needed to leave before I totally lost it and as I left he yelled out, «So…do you want me to cancel the order?»
The warehouse manager called me and was apologetic, offered to give me $ back (which I declined) and worked to get the items delivered asap. In a nutshell… Great furniture and great service as long as you don’t get the dismissive gentleman, believe his name was Timothy. I have a few other items that I need to purchase and believe that I will shop around to see if there is another company that is a little more appreciative of their customers.

i recently purchased outdoor furniture including a 5 piece teak furniture set, coffee table and fire pit. I had an issue with the sofa and it was replaced quickly and without issue. Nothing is nicer for a customer then easy returns and exchanges. The delivery guys are nice and are willing to help with moving everything exactly where you want it. Terra Patio is a great company with an extensive collection.

Love the furniture offerings at this store, but the staff is what pushes up the rating to five stars. Incredibly helpful and informative without any hard-​sell. We shopped at several different stores and liked the selection of furniture at Terra the best, because they had good options in teak, wicker, and metal. We learned a lot about the different types and styles, which helped us make our decisions. When we called later to order covers for our pieces, we were able to do it easily over the phone and just drop in to pick up the items. Highly recommend Terra Patio and Garden.

I was extremely pleased with the service and quality of the items I ordered through Terra Teak in Walnut Creek. I needed chairs for my office, and they let me take two colors to my office on approval to check them out. I ordered 10 chairs, and they took care of applying the protective natural coating I wanted very quickly before they were delivered to my office. The coating application was professionally done, and the chairs look wonderful.
In the end, it turned out that my space would only accommodate 8 chairs and not 10, and they were gracious about letting me return the chairs. I would definitely do business here again, and recommend the helpful staff at Walnut Creek Terra Teak.

I had a really great experience with Terra Teak & Garden. My wife and I had searched quite a bit for a curved loveseat for our newly redone garden and hadn’t found what we were looking for. We then stumbled upon Terra’s website and spotted a seat that looked like a good fit. And the price was less than similar stuff we saw on the web. Shop locally *and* save money? Couldn’t be better.
We visited the store, got loads of knowledgeable help from Charlene, and selected a really nicely made curved seat, a cushion, and a couple of possible tables. Charlene made it easy to pick out two table possibilities so we could bring back the one we liked less.
Because of the size of the seat, we chose to have Terra deliver the items, which Charlene arranged. A couple of hours after we set this up, the furniture appeared. I applied an oil to the loveseat to bring out and preserve the grain, and the effect was great — the chair looks fab.
We’ll definitely go back to Terra Teak & Garden.

I don’t know if people realize that Terra Teak is more than a teak outside furniture store?! We have purchased a trampoline, some chaise lounges with cushions, an umbrella with stand and a very large play structure from them. They also sell hot tubs and some beautiful, unique and environmentally friendly fireplaces. I love the service and it always feels good to support a small local company versus the large warehouse stores. Ask for Charlene. She is always a big help.

Not much of any help from the lady here. I asked if the hardware are Solid Brass and she said «they should be or at least be good enough to withstand rust». I’m wondering if she actually knows anything besides the price tag that’s written on the chair itself.
I was the only customer there but I felt as if she didn’t really want to sell me her products. Or she didn’t think I can afford it :/​
Either way, I will not be giving my hard earned money to this establishment. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE
