Newell Promenade

Such helpful guys at Cartridge World. Here is a shout out to Carlos who helped me diagnose a problem with my very old printer and carried it back to the car for me after he fixed it.

Best service I’ve had on ANYTHING period. They are clearly as passionate about printers as anyone can be. Juan took his time and explained what was wrong with my printer as well as what could go wrong with my other printer they had not even seen. Seriously, customer service like this doesn’t come along too frequently. All for a $ 15.00 repair!

Newell Promenade is part of Old Walnut Creek sans the charm.
However, that’s no reason not to check it out: it’s right behind Trader Joe’s and across the way from Kaiser.
Taxi’s Hamburgers recently closed, which is a shame because it provided vibrant visual interest with it’s yellow checkered cab out front, and sort of anchored the shopping center. Now there’s nothing.
Subway, Pizza Guys, 360 Gourmet Burritos, Cartridge World, Walnut Creek Coffee Company, Oishi Sushi & Grill, Kim’s Nail Salon, Vitamin Adventure, Garlex Pizza and Ribs, Edible Arrangements, and some other small shops.
The shops aren’t the problem, the crapped out sign, dumpy exterior and general run-​downedness of Newell Promenade is the problem. Part of the parking lot was recently used as an overflow lot for Toyota’s unbought cars, contributing to the feeling that this space is used for whatever now.
The City of Walnut Creek needs to clean it up.
