I have become such a hotwire fan! When I was looking for a nice place to stay in Waco this weekend I decided to check Hotwire out and was really happy when I got this place for a really good value! The place is practically brand new! Located in the Hewitt area there are plenty of restaurants and shopping near by and the Baylor campus is only 10 minutes away. My kid is looking forward to the indoor swimming pool and there is also a fitness center which is nice! Treadmills, ellipticals and weight machines. You have everything you need to get a decent workout! This is the first time I’ve ever stayed in a Holiday Inn Express and I must say the experience has been really nice! More thoughts: I love this place! The pool is super nice and refreshing! They have an area right outside of the pool where you can dry off and relax. Read a book… enjoy a complimentary coffee or tea! The room we stayed in was so quiet and the A/C worked perfectly! The beds were so comfortable and the pillows so soft! The wifi was very fast and the amenities the Holiday Inn Express provides are top quality! We’ve never stayed in a Holiday Inn Express. I’ve always favored Marriott properties but after this stay I’m sold! Service was excellent and everyone was so attentive and nice!

Brand new hotel in a great location on the outside of Waco. Waco, has been in need of new hotels for a long time and this hotel is a welcomed sight. The room was clean, the AC worked well(very important) and the bed was comfortable. I really hope they keep this place clean and it does not go downhill fast like other Waco hotels. For lunch or dinner this Hotel is close to Chuy’s Resturant and the new strip mall across the road. They provide a nice breakfast and have a large lobby and outdoor area for sitting. Coffee is available 24⁄7!!! Very nice! Inside pool/no jacuzzi… Did not use the pool because there were to many noisy kids in there. I wish they would had adult only hours!

Out of all the hotels in Waco, Holiday inn EXPRESS is the best place to stay at.(Notice the express at the end) The rooms are well-designed and extremely clean everytime we’ve come to stay. The employees are extremely professional and quick. We reserved a suite and you need to request the sofa bed sheets. After 5 minutes of calling in, I hear a swift knock on the door, and lo and behold it was the sofa bed sheets! Another thing to look forward to is the complimentary breakfast the next day. They do provide plenty of healthy options like oatmeal, boiled eggs, whole wheat biscuits, turkey sausage patties, and fruit. If you aren’t looking for so healthy options there is a cheese omelet, assortment of cereals, sausage gravy, pancakes, assortment of bagels, and cinnamon rolls. You can take breakfast back upstairs to your room and also to go for the rest of the day. You just have to ask one of the employees for either a tray or a carrying bag. For the month of August, there are pancakes from 9pm-12pm. It is part of a TV show promotion(i think), so it’s just in time for all the Baylor students coming in. Holiday Inn Express is the place to stay at and I definitely recommend people to stay here for its good price as well.

Stayed here the night before the Waco Tri. The trim was perfect. Nothing fancy, but clean, modern, and comfortable. They kept breakfast going late so we could grab a bagel when we got back. Definitely a great place to stay.

As a Platinum member, we have stayed in many IHG hotels — this is positively awful. On arrival we were given a room that had not been touched since the prior guest left — dirty towels on the bathroom floor, slept in bed, etc. The second room we were given had dirt and hairs on the floor, 2 lotions/no shampoo, and the A/C would not cool. Our 80 degree room reached 87 degrees while drying hair. For a 4-month old hotel — a great disappointment.

The hotel itself is super nice! Beds and pillows are awesome, I was getting a great night sleep! Love the super modern look and feel to the hotel. Everything was really clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My only negatives would be the weird front entrance, just looks cheep and is awkward to walk through its design. Another would be the free breakfast, you could tell the hotel doesn’t care about quality in this area. From the prepackaged and microwaved omelets, to the burnt bacon and over dried biscuits sitting under the warming lights. I’m sure you would be much happier going to a local restaurant that serves breakfast. I know this next one is not that big of a deal for most, but for me it is. They have cinnamon buns under those heat lamps. The vapors are all over the dining area and reception area. For someone like me that is highly allergic, heavy pressure in my head and throat closing, it’s not good at all. For this reason alone I will not be coming back. Now if you like that sort of thing, by all means, go for it. The last complaint would be the indoor pool, it was really cold. You figure if it’s indoor, it would be really warm. Nope. The maintenance guy told me the temperature was reading 80 degrees Fahrenheit, but to me it probably felt like it was in the low to mid 60’s. And they don’t have a hot tub either, fyi, hot tub lovers. Overall, I had a wonderful experience there. I would recommend this place to stay, if you don’t want breakfast, don’t want a hot tub and don’t have cinnamon allergies… it’s great!
